最近看了几本best sellers, 感觉是不用脑子，一页一页翻起来很爽，一天两天就能看完
一本，非常有成就感。文笔当然没有什么好讲的，不过作者都很聪明，故事编得好，引人
入胜。

能不能大概说说这些小说是什么类型的，
我只知道Michael Crichton的是scifi的，
达芬奇密码那本是侦探悬疑之类的，
其它的都没听说过。:(

Fatherland is about Europe in the 60's after the Germany had won the second
world war. There was a murder, and a detective tried to solve the mystery. It
is based on certain historical facts (of what happened in the WWII of course).
The Prometheus Deception is an international thriller, spy/secrete
operations/conspiracy. The book was built on a pretty intricate plot with a
promising story line but somehow didn't end up in a very satisfying way for
me.
The Key to Rebecca is an old spy novel, publ

啊，突然想起来这本The Key to Rebecca译林曾经出版过，我上高中时看的。

I am reading 'The Gatekeepers' by Jacques Steinberg. Quite
interesting.

I don't know why lots of my friends recommend this book. Compared
to other mystery/thriller I've read, this one is just so-so, IMHO.

Is this the book on college admission? I've heard good things about it, will
give it a try if I can find a copy from a library or so.
My guess is that a lot of people in this country like the Da Vinci Code
because the book concerns a fascinating part of church's history and it does
put a nice spin on what might have happened, though I know so little about the
catholic history it's hard for me to judge...

没错，是讲 college admission 的
从朋友那儿弄来随便翻翻
一开始觉得没有什么意思
读了100多页后有点渐入佳境的感觉了
同时还在读的有 HRC 的 Living History
不觉得写的好
