I like the section to be list as:
ABSTRACT
not
1. Abstract
how to remove the number before the section name? I did not use enumerate
package. thanks a lot.

\section*{Abstract}
BTW, you should use abstract environment, i.e. \begin{abstract}...\end{
abstract} for abstract, instead of using \section
