Postdoctoral positions are available in Huang Lab in the Department of Cell
and Molecular Biology at Tulane University.
The successful candidates should have strong background in neuroscience and
experience with electrophysiology (perfer patch-clamp). Experience in
computational modeling and two-photon imaging is highly desired but not
required.
Huang lab aims to understand mechanisms of synaptic transmission and neural
integration using a combination of techniques of electrophysiology, two-
photon imaging, computational modeling, and molecular biology. We are
particularly interested in studying ion channels and their modulation at the
calyx of Held and conventional synapses, and how ion channels control
presynaptic properties, vesicular glutamate transport, neurotransmitter
release, and synaptic plasticity. Please refer recent related publications (
Neuron 2014, 84:340-346; Nat Neurosci 2011, 14:1285-1292; Nat Neurosci 2011,
