I think this initiative is probably not targetting Chinese,
rather other Asian groups.
Recently America's Asian strategy has been "Pivot to Asia",
which really means increasing alliance with India and Japan.
Implicitly this strategy is China containment and anti-China.
The military-industrial complex is running out of boogyman
to defend against, so it is busy making a boogyman out of
China. American media mostly went along because they
see no reason why not.
The funeral pyre for Chinaman is being built piece by piece,
just waiting for the eastern wind to blow. It's like Iraq in 2002.
It's our choice to:
1. launch massive charm offensive to convince America that
China is a valuable friend and ally, communist or not.
Remember Israel also flirted with communism, a lot
of American allies are socialists. The US helped China 3 times and
Chinese are grateful for these.
2. convince the Americans that Chinese-Americans will unite
against this anti-China line of defense strategy and media tint
3. go for public service, community service, recruiting, teaching
jobs.
4. Just lay back do nothing for the funeral pyre to catch fire.
