在美国，本着对孩子负责的态度，口语一定要达到
流利表达的程度，口音不渴求美国化，但是必须不妨碍
理解，除非你是教高中微积分的印度老师。
有个朋友申请当小学READING SPECIALIST被拒了，
婉拒，理由就是有口音。她可是英语系刻板出身啊，
晕。但是她申请高年级的学校和别的科目的职位就没人提出口音问题了。
我认为口语和工作态度是外国老师在美国公立学校
立足的关键。一家之言:-D
至于只是纯粹学教育学，目标回国发展的话，好像口语也不需要
“非常好”吧。

在美国当老师,都是靠说话吃饭的,至少让孩子们听懂你的话才能让他们学到你要教的.
我的一个老师说我的英语相当于FRESHMAN 的水平,好郁闷!我可是MASTER 都快拿到了.
没在美国当过老师所以心里没底,不知道自己的英语够不够用?总之,干老师这一行,语言
太重要了,要是在学生面前讲课,流利的英语是站第一位的.
至于学教育学,要是你搞研究,可能对口语的要求想对宽松一些吧,但是要想在美国生活,
说话就是必不可免的,说的越流利,生活和工作的障碍就越少.

compare the two different paragraphs, what is the differece? well I
experienced several stages of English studying, from "talking like a
dictionary" to picking up casual way of talking(oral English), even today
after several years of "book- English deduction" some children still have
difficulty understanding me, but I will not give up. you can make the
difference if you stick to it.

It is ture that Language is a barrier for us. However, I think Willing to
teach is the most important thing for us to grow into a competent teacher.
In my student teaching, I've seen some of the American teachers are good at
the language, but they regard teaching only as a channel to survive in this
world. Not innovated to try new activities,revise teaching materials and
help students achieve better. Comparing with them, most of foreigh teachers
are eager to reflect on their teaching, improve it

Strongly agree! Promptly. Right, we have our owe strangth to compete with
American teachers. If we know how to use these strangth, we will be very
successful. Since we have to know how to make our kid understand us very
well, we may pay more attention to the details which American teacher might
ignor.

口语不咋的，像我一样尽量先教高年级数学吧 （物理化学也可以把）。相对容易一点
，不过我常感觉到因为口语差带来的不爽，还有就是学生说方言，听不懂。哎...
不过个人觉得努力最重要，就向大家说的一样。过几年应该会提高的。
