Can I not save you?
Can't I save you?
'Even without my love, Mr Carton, can I not save you? Can I not help you?'
“即使没有爱情,卡登先生,难道我就不能挽救您吗?我不能帮您吗?”原文翻译者叫
杨学义
a)Can I not save you?
b)Can't I save you?
What's the difference between the two sentences above?
Or Is there no difference between them?

这个意思是of course I have to save you.
i don't think this 句型 is being used.
if it is, i think you are right,

wo bu neng jiu ni ma?
they are different.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
这个是指的我难道救不了你么?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Depends on the emphasis.
"Can I *not* save you?"
Can I choose not to save you?
Do I have a choice?
I actually don't want to save you.
"Can I not *save* you?"
Is it impossible for me to save you?
Are you so not savable?
Do I not have the ability to save you?
In spoken/colloquial English the second is the same as
"Can't I save you?"

What you said is not the same as what Obstacle said.
Obstacle referred to 'Can I NOT save you?' as
" I actually don't want to save you, for example, when you are my rival in
love"
But your understanding of 'Can I NOT save you?' is
'I must save you, because you are my lover'.
How come did you answer 'yeah' to Obstacle's question?

Actually drew is saying the same thing as I said, except in a
more affirmative tone. I said "Can I choose not to save you?
Do I have a choice?", and drew just said directly, "I have to
save you anyway." Whereas I might wait another a bit longer
and ponder choices that I don't have before taking action to
save the person, drew would probably accept the responsibility
and take action right away to save the person.

NO. "I have to save you anyway" Drew said is not the same as
"do I have choice" or "can I choose not to save you" that you said.
They are not the difference between directly and indirectly.
"I have to save you anyway" sounds like the second meaning as you said in
"CAN I not SAVE you?"

In my first example emphasizing "not", I think the emphasis is on
the choice between the affirmative and the negative. The way I
expressed it, I considered the two choices with more equal probability,
whereas I think drew's expression leaned more heavily toward one of
the two choices.
In my second example emphasizing "save", I mean something like
"I am confident that I can save you."
"If you let me help you, I can save you."
"Don't you believe that I can save you?"
"Don't you believe that you a
