白求恩同志是加拿大共产党员，五十多岁了，为了帮助中国的抗日战争，受加拿大共产
党和美国共产党的派遣，不远万里，来到中国。去年春上到延安，后来到五台山工作，
不幸以身殉职。
ENGLISH:
Comrade Norman Bethune,[1] a member of the Communist Party of Canada, was
around fifty when he was sent by the Communist Parties of Canada and the
United States to China; he made light of travelling thousands of miles to
help us in our War of Resistance Against Japan. He arrived in Yenan in the
spring of last year, went to work in the Wutai Mountains, and to our great
sorrow died a martyr at his post.

Il avait une cinquantaine d'années lorsqu'il fut envoyé en Chine par le
Parti communiste du Canada et le Parti communiste des Etats-Unis ; il n'hé
sita pas à faire des milliers de kilomètres pour venir nous aider dans la
Guerre de Résistance contre le Japon. Il arriva à Yenan au printemps de l'
année dernière, puis alla travailler dans le Woutaichan où, à notre plus
grand regret, il est mort à son poste.

El camarada Bethune[1] era miembro del Partido Comunista del Canadá. Ten
ía unos cincuenta años cuando, enviado por los Partidos Comunistas
del Canadá y los Estados Unidos, vino a China, recorriendo miles de kiló
metros, para ayudarnos en nuestra Guerra de Resistencia contra el Japón.
Llegó a Yenán en la primavera del año pasado; luego fue a trabajar
en las montañas Wutai y, para aflicción nuestra, ofrendó la vida en
su puesto de trabajo.

Il compagno Norman Bethune (1), membro del Partito Comunista Canadese, aveva
più di cinquant'anni quando, inviato dal Partito Comunista Canadese e il
Partito Comunista degli Stati Uniti ad aiutare la Cina nella Guerra di
resistenza contro il Giappone, arrivò nel nostro paese dopo un viaggio di
miglia di chilometri. Giunse a Yenan nella primavera dell'anno scorso, e poi
andò a lavorare sui Monti Wutai dove, con nostro grande dolore, è morto
come un martire al suo posto di lavoro.
GERMAN:
Genosse Bethune,l Mitglied der Kommunistischen Partei Kanadas, war ungef
ähr fünfzig Jahre alt, als er von der Kommunistischen Partei
geschickt wurde. Ohne die Schwierigkeiten eines Weges von Tausenden Meilen
zu scheuen, kam er hierher, um China in seinem Widerstandskrieg gegen die
japanische Aggression zu helfen. Im Frühling vorigen Jahres traf er in
Yenan ein, ging dann zur Arbeit ins Wutai-Gebirge und starb zu unserer
tiefsten Betrübnis auf seinem Kampfposten.
一个外国人，毫无利己的动机，把中国人民的解放事业当做他自己的事业，这是什么精
神？这是国际主义的精神，这是共产主义的精神，每一个中国共产党员都要学习这种精
神。
ENGLISH:
What kind of spirit is this that makes a foreigner selflessly adopt the
cause of the Chinese people's liberation as his own? It is the spirit of
internationalism, the spirit of communism, from which every Chinese
Communist must learn.
FRENCH:
Voilà donc un étranger qui, sans être poussé par aucun intérêt
personnel, a fait sienne la cause de la libération du peuple chinois: Quel
est l'esprit qui l'a inspiré? C'est l'esprit de l'internationalisme, du
communisme, celui que tout communiste chinois doit s'assimiler.
SPANISH:
¿Qué espíritu impulsa a un extranjero a entregarse sin ningún mó
vil personal a la causa de la liberación del pueblo chino como a la suya
propia? El espíritu del internacionalismo, el espíritu del comunismo, que
todos los comunistas chinos debemos asimilar.
ITALIAN:
Quale spirito può aver spinto uno straniero a considerare, al di sopra di
qualunque motivo egoistico, la causa della liberazione del popolo cinese
come propria? è lo spirito dell'internazionalismo, lo spirito del comunismo
, dal quale ogni comunista cinese deve imparare.
GERMAN:
Welche Gesinnung spricht daraus, wenn ein Ausländer, ohne auch nur den
geringsten Vorteil zu suchen, die Sache der Befreiung des chinesischen
Volkes zu seiner eigenen Sache macht~ Das ist die Gesinnung des
Internationalismus, die Gesinnung des Kommunismus. Jeder chinesische
Kommunist muß aus dieser Gesinnung lernen.
列宁主义认为：资本主义国家的无产阶级要拥护殖民地人民的解放斗争，殖民地半殖民
地的无产阶级要拥护资本主义国家的无产阶级的解放斗争，世界革命才能胜利。
ENGLISH:
Leninism teaches that the world revolution can only succeed if the
proletariat of the capitalist countries supports the struggle for liberation
of the colonial and semi-colonial peoples and if the proletariat of the
colonies and semi-colonies supports that of the proletariat of the
capitalist countries.[2]
FRENCH:
Le léninisme enseigne que la révolution mondiale ne peut triompher que si
le prolétariat des pays capitalistes soutient la lutte libératrice des
peuples coloniaux et semi-coloniaux et si le prolétariat des colonies et
semi-colonies soutient la lutte libératrice du prolétariat des pays
capitalistes (2).
SPANISH:
El leninismo enseña que la revolución mundial sólo puede triunfar
si el proletariado de los países capitalistas apoya la lucha liberadora de
los pueblos coloniales y semicoloniales, y si el proletariado de las
colonias y semicolonias apoya la lucha liberadora del proletariado de los pa
íses capitalistas[2].
ITALIAN:
Il leninismo insegna che la rivoluzione mondiale può avere successo solo se
il proletariato dei paesi capitalisti appoggia la lotta di liberazione dei
popoli delle colonie e semicolonie, e se il proletariato delle colonie e
semicolonie appoggia la lotta di liberazione del proletariato dei paesi
capitalisti (2).
GERMAN:
Der Leninismus lehrt, daß die Weltrevolution nur dann siegen kann,
wenn das Proletariat der kapitalistischen Länder den Befreiungskampf
der Völker der kolonialen und halbkolonialen Länder und das
Proletariat der Kolonien und Halbkolonien den Befreiungskampf des
Proletariats der kapitalistischen Länder unterstützt.2
白求恩同志是实践了这一条列宁主义路线的。我们中国共产党员也要实践这一条路线。
我们要和一切资本主义国家的无产阶级联合起来，要和日本的、英国的、美国的、德国
的、意大利的以及一切资本主义国家的无产阶级联合起来，才能打倒帝国主义，解放我
们的民族和人民，解放世界的民族和人民。这就是我们的国际主义，这就是我们用以反
对狭隘民族主义和狭隘爱国主义的国际主义。
ENGLISH:
Comrade Bethune put this Leninist line into practice. We Chinese Communists
must also follow this line in our practice. We must unite with the
proletariat of all the capitalist countries, with the proletariat of Japan,
Britain, the United States, Germany, Italy and all other capitalist
countries, for this is the only way to overthrow imperialism, to liberate
our nation and people and to liberate the other nations and peoples of the
world. This is our internationalism, the internationalism with which we
oppose both narrow nationalism and narrow patriotism.

Le camarade Béthune a mis en pratique cette ligne léniniste. Nous, membres
du Parti communiste chinois, devons faire de même. Il nous faut nous unir
au prolétariat de tous les pays capitalistes, au prolétariat du Japon, de

autre pays capitaliste, pour qu'il soit possible d'abattre l'impérialisme,

chinos también debemos atenernos a ella en nuestra práctica. Debemos
unirnos con el proletariado de todos los países capitalistas, con el
proletariado del Japón, Inglaterra, Estados Unidos, Alemania, Italia y dem
ás países capitalistas; sólo así se podrá derrocar al imperialismo y
alcanzar la liberación de nuestra nación y nuestro pueblo y de las otras

Il compagno Bethune ha messo in pratica questa linea leninista. Anche noi
comunisti cinesi dobbiamo mettere in pratica questa linea. Dobbiamo unirci
al proletariato di tutti i paesi capitalisti, al proletariato del Giappone,
dell'Inghilterra, degli Stati Uniti, della Germania, dell'Italia e di tutti
gli altri paesi capitalisti, perché sia possibile abbattere l'imperialismo,

auf diese Weise ist es möglich, den Imperialismus zu stürzen, unsere

白求恩同志毫不利己专门利人的精神，表现在他对工作的极端的负责任，对同志对人民
的极端的热忱。每个共产党员都要学习他。
ENGLISH:
Comrade Bethune's spirit, his utter devotion to others without any thought
of self, was shown in his great sense of responsibility in his work and his
great warm-heartedness towards all comrades and the people. Every Communist
must learn from him.
FRENCH:
L'esprit du camarade Béthune, oubli total de soi et entier dévouement aux
autres, apparaissait dans son profond sens des responsabilités à l'égard
du travail et dans son affection sans bornes pour les camarades, pour le
peuple. Tout communiste doit le prendre pour exemple.
SPANISH:
El espíritu del camarada Bethune de total dedicación a los demás sin la
menor preocupación por sí mismo, se expresaba en su infinito sentido de
responsabilidad en el trabajo y en su infinito cariño por los
camaradas y el pueblo. Todo comunista debe seguir su ejemplo.
ITALIAN:
Lo spirito del compagno Bethune, la sua assoluta devozione verso gli altri
senza la minima ombra di egoismo, si rivelava nell'altissimo senso di
responsabilità verso il lavoro e nell'infinita premura verso i compagni e
il popolo. Ogni comunista deve imparare da lui.
GERMAN:
Der dem Genossen Bethune eigene Geist der absoluten Selbstlosigkeit und der
absoluten Hingabe für andere fand seinen Ausdruck in einem äuß
erst tiefen Gefühl der Verantwortlichkeit für die Arbeit und in einer &
auml;ußerst warmen Herzlichkeit zu den Genossen und zum Volk. Jeder
Kommunist muß von ihm lernen.
不少的人对工作不负责任，拈轻怕重，把重担子推给人家，自己挑轻的。一事当前，先
替自己打算，然后再替别人打算。出了一点力就觉得了不起，喜欢自吹，生怕人家不知
道。对同志对人民不是满腔热忱，而是冷冷清清，漠不关心，麻木不仁。这种人其实不
是共产党员，至少不能算一个纯粹的共产党员。
ENGLISH:
There are not a few people who are irresponsible in their work, preferring
the light and shirking the heavy, passing the burdensome tasks on to others
and choosing the easy ones for themselves. At every turn they think of
themselves before others. When they make some small contribution, they swell
with pride and brag about it for fear that others will not know. They feel
no warmth towards comrades and the people but are cold, indifferent and
apathetic. In truth such people are not Communists, or at least cannot be
counted as devoted Communists.
FRENCH:
Ils ne sont pas rares ceux à qui manque le sens des responsabilités dans
leur travail, qui choisissent les tâches faciles et se dérobent aux
besognes pénibles, laissant aux autres le fardeau le plus lourd et prenant
la charge la plus légère. En toute chose, ils pensent d'abord à eux-mê
mes, aux autres après. A peine ont-ils accompli quelque effort, craignant
qu'on ne s'en soit pas aperçu, ils s'en vantent et s'enflent d'
orgueil. Ils n'éprouvent point de sentiments chaleureux pour les camarades
et pour le peuple, ils n'ont à leur endroit que froideur, indifférence,
insensibilité. En vérité, ces gens-là ne sont pas des communistes ou, du
moins, ne peuvent être considérés comme de vrais communistes.

No pocas personas se muestran irresponsables en su trabajo, prefieren lo
liviano a lo pesado, dejan las cargas pesadas a otros y escogen para sí
las livianas. En cada ocasión, piensan en sí mismas antes que en los demá
s. Cuando hacen alguna pequeña contribución, se hinchan de orgullo y
la pregonan temiendo que alguien quede sin saberlo. No sienten cariñ
o por los camaradas y el pueblo, y los tratan con frialdad, indiferencia y
apatía. En realidad, esas personas no son comunistas o, al menos, no pueden
ser consideradas como verdaderos comunistas.

Non sono pochi coloro che mancano di senso di responsabilità nel lavoro
, preferiscono i fardelli leggeri a quelli pesanti, lasciano quelli pesanti
agli altri e scelgono per sé quelli leggeri. In ogni cosa pensano prima a
se stessi e poi agli altri. Appena compiono un piccolo sforzo, si gonfiano
di orgoglio e si vantano per paura che gli altri non se ne accorgano. Invece
di essere pieni di affetto per i compagni e il popolo, sono freddi,
indifferenti e apatici. In realtà, questi individui non sono comunisti, o
almeno non possono essere considerati veri comunisti.

Es gibt nicht wenig Menschen, die sich verantwortungslos zu ihrer Arbeit
verhalten, das Leichte suchen und vor Schwerem zurückschrecken, anderen
die schwere Last aufbürden und selbst die leichte schultern. Was sie auch
tun - sie sorgen vor allem für sich und erst dann für die anderen. Haben
sie sich ein wenig angestrengt, fühlen sie sich schon als Helden, lieben es
zu prahlen, da sie befürchten, daß man es sonst nicht erfahren wü
rde. Den Genossen und dem Volk bringen sie keine Wärme entgegen,
sondern sind kühl, gleichgültig, gefühllos. Im Grunde sind solche
Menschen keine Kommunisten, oder zumindest können sie nicht als echte
Kommunisten gelten.
从前线回来的人说到白求恩，没有一个不佩服，没有一个不为他的精神所感动。晋察冀
边区的军民，凡亲身受过白求恩医生的治疗和亲眼看过白求恩医生的工作的，无不为之
感动。每一个共产党员，一定要学习白求恩同志的这种真正共产主义者的精神。
ENGLISH:
No one who returned from the front failed to express admiration for
Bethune whenever his name was mentioned, and none remained unmoved by his
spirit. In the Shansi-Chahar-Hopei border area, no soldier or civilian was
unmoved who had been treated by Dr. Bethune or had seen how he worked. Every
Communist must learn this true communist spirit from Comrade Bethune.

Parmi ceux qui revenaient du front, il n'y avait personne qui, parlant de B
éthune, ne manifestât son admiration pour lui, et qui fût rest
é insensible à l'esprit qui l'animait. Il n'est pas un soldat, pas un

u les soins du docteur Béthune ou l'ayant vu à l'œuvre, ne garde de

hablar de Bethune, dejara de expresar su admiración por él y de mostrarse
conmovido por su espíritu. En la Región Fronteriza de Shansí-Chajar-Jopei
, todos los militares o civiles que fueron atendidos por el Dr. Bethune o
que lo vieron trabajar, se sentían conmovidos. Todos los comunistas deben
aprender de este auténtico espíritu comunista del camarada Bethune.

alle waren von seiner Gesinnung tief berührt. Dr. Bethune machte einen
gewaltigen Eindruck auf alle Soldaten und Einwohner des Grenzgebiets Schansi
-Tschahar-Hopeh, die Gelegenheit hatten, sich von ihm behandeln zu lassen
oder mit eigenen Augen zu sehen, wie er arbeitete. Jedes Mitglied der
Kommunistischen Partei muß von Genossen Bethune diese Gesinnung eines
wahren Kommunisten lernen.
白求恩同志是个医生，他以医疗为职业，对技术精益求精；在整个八路军医务系统中，
他的医术是很高明的。这对于一班见异思迁的人，对于一班鄙薄技术工作以为不足道、
以为无出路的人，也是一个极好的教训。
ENGLISH:
Comrade Bethune was a doctor, the art of healing was his profession and he
was constantly perfecting his skill, which stood very high in the Eighth
Route Army's medical service. His example is an excellent lesson for those
people who wish to change their work the moment they see something different
and for those who despise technical work as of no consequence or as
promising no future.
FRENCH:
Le camarade Béthune était médecin. L'art de guérir était sa profession,
il s'y perfectionnait sans cesse et se distinguait par son habileté dans
tout le service médical de la VIIIe Armée de Route. Son cas exemplaire
devrait faire réfléchir tous ceux qui ne pensent qu'à changer de métier
sitôt qu'ils en entrevoient un autre, ou qui dédaignent le travail
technique, le considérant comme insignifiant, sans avenir.
SPANISH:
El camarada Bethune era médico. Dedicado al arte de curar, perfeccionaba
constantemente su técnica; se distinguía por su maestría en el servicio m
édico del VIII Ejército. Esto constituye una excelente lección para
aquellos que quieren cambiar de trabajo apenas ven otro nuevo, y para
quienes menosprecian el trabajo técnico considerándolo sin importancia ni
futuro.
ITALIAN:
Il compagno Bethune era medico, aveva fatto della medicina la sua
professione e migliorava di continuo le sue capacità; tra tutto il
personale medico dell'Ottava armata, egli si distingueva per la sua
competenza. Il suo esempio rappresenta una buona lezione per coloro che
vogliono cambiare lavoro non appena vedono qualcosa di nuovo, e per chi
disprezza il lavoro tecnico giudicandolo poco importante e senza prospettive.
GERMAN:
Genosse Bethune war Arzt. Das Heilen kranker Menschen hatte er zu seinem
Beruf erwählt, und er vervollkommnete unermüdlich sein Können. Im
gesamten Sanitätsdienst der Achten Route-Armee stand seine ä
rztliche Kunst hoch im Ansehen. Sein Beispiel ist eine ausgezeichnete Lehre
sowohl für unbeständige und wählerische Menschen als auch für
Leute, die eine praktisch-technische Arbeit verachten, welche sie für
unbedeutend, für aussichtslos halten.
我和白求恩同志只见过一面。后来他给我来过许多信。可是因为忙，仅回过他一封信，
还不知他收到没有。对于他的死，我是很悲痛的。现在大家纪念他，可见他的精神感人
之深。
ENGLISH:
Comrade Bethune and I met only once. Afterwards he wrote me many letters
. But I was busy, and I wrote him only one letter and do not even know if he
ever received it. I am deeply grieved over his death.
FRENCH:
Je n'ai rencontré qu'une seule fois le camarade Béthune. Il m'a souvent é
crit depuis. Mais, pris par mes occupations, je ne lui ai répondu qu'une
fois, et je ne sais même pas s'il a reçu ma lettre. Sa mort m'a
beaucoup affligé.
SPANISH:
El camarada Bethune y yo nos vimos una sola vez. Posteriormente, me
escribió muchas veces. Pero como yo estaba muy ocupado, sólo le escribí
una carta y no sé si la recibió. Me siento profundamente apenado por su
desaparición. El homenaje que todos rendimos a su memoria demuestra cuán
hondamente su espíritu inspira a cada uno de nosotros.
ITALIAN:
Ho visto il compagno Bethune una sola volta. In seguito mi ha scritto
molte lettere. Ero molto occupato, e perciò gli ho risposto solo una volta
e non so neanche se abbia mai ricevuto la mia lettera. La sua morte mi
addolora profondamente. Ora tutti noi lo commemoriamo, e ciò dimostra
quanto il suo spirito abbia profondamente toccato ognuno di noi. Noi tutti
dobbiamo prendere a esempio il suo spirito di assoluta abnegazione. Con
questo spirito ognuno può essere molto utile al popolo.
GERMAN:
Ich hatte nur einmal Gelegenheit, Genossen Bethune zu treffen. Danach
schrieb er mir viele Briefe. Da ich stark in Anspruch genommen war,
antwortete ich ihm nur mit einem einzigen Brief, weiß aber nicht
einmal, ob er ihn erhalten hat. Ich bin durch seinen Tod in tiefe Trauer
versetzt. Jetzt ehren wir alle sein Andenken, und das zeigt, wie tief wir
alle von seiner Gesinnung berührt sind.
我们大家要学习他毫无自私自利之心的精神。从这点出发，就可以变为大有利于人民的
人。一个人能力有大小，但只要有这点精神，就是一个高尚的人，一个纯粹的人，一个
有道德的人，一个脱离了低级趣味的人，一个有益于人民的人。
ENGLISH:
Now we are all commemorating him, which shows how profoundly his spirit
inspires everyone. We must all learn the spirit of absolute selflessness
from him. With this spirit everyone can be very useful to the people. A man'
s ability may be great or small, but if he has this spirit, he is already
noble-minded and pure, a man of moral integrity and above vulgar interests,
a man who is of value to the people.
FRENCH:
Maintenant, nous honorons tous sa mémoire, c'est dire la profondeur des
sentiments que son exemple nous inspire. Nous devons apprendre de lui ce
parfait esprit d'abnégation. Ainsi, chacun pourra devenir très utile au
peuple. Qu'on soit plus ou moins capable, il suffit de posséder cet esprit
pour être un homme aux sentiments nobles, intègre, un homme d'une haute
moralité, détaché des intérêts mesquins, un homme utile au peuple.
SPANISH:
Todos debemos aprender de su desinterés absoluto. Quien posea este espí
ritu puede ser muy útil al pueblo. La capacidad de un hombre puede ser
grande o pequeña, pero basta con que tenga este espíritu para que
sea hombre de elevados sentimientos, hombre íntegro y virtuoso, hombre
exento de intereses triviales, hombre de provecho para el pueblo.
ITALIAN:
Noi tutti dobbiamo prendere a esempio il suo spirito di assoluta
abnegazione. Con questo spirito ognuno può essere molto utile al popolo. L'
abilità di un uomo può essere grande o piccola, ma se egli avrà questo
spirito sarà un uomo nobile, puro, un uomo moralmente integro, superiore ai
meschini interessi, un uomo prezioso per il popolo.

besitzt, wird ein edler Mensch mit klarem Charakter und hohen moralischen

白求恩同志是加拿大共产党员，五十多岁了，为了帮助中国的抗日战争，受加拿大共产
党和美国共产党的派遣，不远万里，来到中国。去年春上到延安，后来到五台山工作，
不幸以身殉职。
ENGLISH:
Comrade Norman Bethune,[1] a member of the Communist Party of Canada, was
around fifty when he was sent by the Communist Parties of Canada and the
United States to China; he made light of travelling thousands of miles to
help us in our War of Resistance Against Japan. He arrived in Yenan in the
spring of last year, went to work in the Wutai Mountains, and to our great
sorrow died a martyr at his post.

Il avait une cinquantaine d'années lorsqu'il fut envoyé en Chine par le

ía unos cincuenta años cuando, enviado por los Partidos Comunistas
del Canadá y los Estados Unidos, vino a China, recorriendo miles de kiló
metros, para ayudarnos en nuestra Guerra de Resistencia contra el Japón.
Llegó a Yenán en la primavera del año pasado; luego fue a trabajar
en las montañas Wutai y, para aflicción nuestra, ofrendó la vida en
su puesto de trabajo.

più di cinquant'anni quando, inviato dal Partito Comunista Canadese e il

Genosse Bethune,l Mitglied der Kommunistischen Partei Kanadas, war ungef
ähr fünfzig Jahre alt, als er von der Kommunistischen Partei
geschickt wurde. Ohne die Schwierigkeiten eines Weges von Tausenden Meilen
zu scheuen, kam er hierher, um China in seinem Widerstandskrieg gegen die
japanische Aggression zu helfen. Im Frühling vorigen Jahres traf er in
Yenan ein, ging dann zur Arbeit ins Wutai-Gebirge und starb zu unserer
tiefsten Betrübnis auf seinem Kampfposten.
一个外国人，毫无利己的动机，把中国人民的解放事业当做他自己的事业，这是什么精
神？这是国际主义的精神，这是共产主义的精神，每一个中国共产党员都要学习这种精
神。
ENGLISH:
What kind of spirit is this that makes a foreigner selflessly adopt the
cause of the Chinese people's liberation as his own? It is the spirit of
internationalism, the spirit of communism, from which every Chinese
Communist must learn.
FRENCH:
Voilà donc un étranger qui, sans être poussé par aucun intérêt
personnel, a fait sienne la cause de la libération du peuple chinois: Quel
est l'esprit qui l'a inspiré? C'est l'esprit de l'internationalisme, du
communisme, celui que tout communiste chinois doit s'assimiler.

¿Qué espíritu impulsa a un extranjero a entregarse sin ningún mó
vil personal a la causa de la liberación del pueblo chino como a la suya

qualunque motivo egoistico, la causa della liberazione del popolo cinese

, dal quale ogni comunista cinese deve imparare.
GERMAN:
Welche Gesinnung spricht daraus, wenn ein Ausländer, ohne auch nur den
geringsten Vorteil zu suchen, die Sache der Befreiung des chinesischen
Volkes zu seiner eigenen Sache macht~ Das ist die Gesinnung des
Internationalismus, die Gesinnung des Kommunismus. Jeder chinesische
Kommunist muß aus dieser Gesinnung lernen.
列宁主义认为：资本主义国家的无产阶级要拥护殖民地人民的解放斗争，殖民地半殖民
地的无产阶级要拥护资本主义国家的无产阶级的解放斗争，世界革命才能胜利。
ENGLISH:
Leninism teaches that the world revolution can only succeed if the
proletariat of the capitalist countries supports the struggle for liberation
of the colonial and semi-colonial peoples and if the proletariat of the
colonies and semi-colonies supports that of the proletariat of the
capitalist countries.[2]
FRENCH:
Le léninisme enseigne que la révolution mondiale ne peut triompher que si
le prolétariat des pays capitalistes soutient la lutte libératrice des
peuples coloniaux et semi-coloniaux et si le prolétariat des colonies et
semi-colonies soutient la lutte libératrice du prolétariat des pays
capitalistes (2).
SPANISH:
El leninismo enseña que la revolución mundial sólo puede triunfar
si el proletariado de los países capitalistas apoya la lucha liberadora de

Il leninismo insegna che la rivoluzione mondiale può avere successo solo se

Der Leninismus lehrt, daß die Weltrevolution nur dann siegen kann,
wenn das Proletariat der kapitalistischen Länder den Befreiungskampf
der Völker der kolonialen und halbkolonialen Länder und das
Proletariat der Kolonien und Halbkolonien den Befreiungskampf des
Proletariats der kapitalistischen Länder unterstützt.2
白求恩同志是实践了这一条列宁主义路线的。我们中国共产党员也要实践这一条路线。
我们要和一切资本主义国家的无产阶级联合起来，要和日本的、英国的、美国的、德国
的、意大利的以及一切资本主义国家的无产阶级联合起来，才能打倒帝国主义，解放我
们的民族和人民，解放世界的民族和人民。这就是我们的国际主义，这就是我们用以反
对狭隘民族主义和狭隘爱国主义的国际主义。
ENGLISH:
Comrade Bethune put this Leninist line into practice. We Chinese Communists
must also follow this line in our practice. We must unite with the
proletariat of all the capitalist countries, with the proletariat of Japan,
Britain, the United States, Germany, Italy and all other capitalist
countries, for this is the only way to overthrow imperialism, to liberate
our nation and people and to liberate the other nations and peoples of the
world. This is our internationalism, the internationalism with which we
oppose both narrow nationalism and narrow patriotism.

Le camarade Béthune a mis en pratique cette ligne léniniste. Nous, membres
du Parti communiste chinois, devons faire de même. Il nous faut nous unir

Comrade Bethune's spirit, his utter devotion to others without any thought
of self, was shown in his great sense of responsibility in his work and his
great warm-heartedness towards all comrades and the people. Every Communist
must learn from him.

L'esprit du camarade Béthune, oubli total de soi et entier dévouement aux
autres, apparaissait dans son profond sens des responsabilités à l'égard
du travail et dans son affection sans bornes pour les camarades, pour le
peuple. Tout communiste doit le prendre pour exemple.

El espíritu del camarada Bethune de total dedicación a los demás sin la
menor preocupación por sí mismo, se expresaba en su infinito sentido de
responsabilidad en el trabajo y en su infinito cariño por los
camaradas y el pueblo. Todo comunista debe seguir su ejemplo.

Lo spirito del compagno Bethune, la sua assoluta devozione verso gli altri
senza la minima ombra di egoismo, si rivelava nell'altissimo senso di
responsabilità verso il lavoro e nell'infinita premura verso i compagni e

Der dem Genossen Bethune eigene Geist der absoluten Selbstlosigkeit und der
absoluten Hingabe für andere fand seinen Ausdruck in einem äuß
erst tiefen Gefühl der Verantwortlichkeit für die Arbeit und in einer &
auml;ußerst warmen Herzlichkeit zu den Genossen und zum Volk. Jeder
Kommunist muß von ihm lernen.
不少的人对工作不负责任，拈轻怕重，把重担子推给人家，自己挑轻的。一事当前，先
替自己打算，然后再替别人打算。出了一点力就觉得了不起，喜欢自吹，生怕人家不知
道。对同志对人民不是满腔热忱，而是冷冷清清，漠不关心，麻木不仁。这种人其实不
是共产党员，至少不能算一个纯粹的共产党员。
ENGLISH:
There are not a few people who are irresponsible in their work, preferring
the light and shirking the heavy, passing the burdensome tasks on to others
and choosing the easy ones for themselves. At every turn they think of
themselves before others. When they make some small contribution, they swell
with pride and brag about it for fear that others will not know. They feel
no warmth towards comrades and the people but are cold, indifferent and
apathetic. In truth such people are not Communists, or at least cannot be
counted as devoted Communists.
FRENCH:
Ils ne sont pas rares ceux à qui manque le sens des responsabilités dans
leur travail, qui choisissent les tâches faciles et se dérobent aux
besognes pénibles, laissant aux autres le fardeau le plus lourd et prenant
la charge la plus légère. En toute chose, ils pensent d'abord à eux-mê
mes, aux autres après. A peine ont-ils accompli quelque effort, craignant
qu'on ne s'en soit pas aperçu, ils s'en vantent et s'enflent d'
orgueil. Ils n'éprouvent point de sentiments chaleureux pour les camarades
et pour le peuple, ils n'ont à leur endroit que froideur, indifférence,
insensibilité. En vérité, ces gens-là ne sont pas des communistes ou, du
moins, ne peuvent être considérés comme de vrais communistes.

die schwere Last aufbürden und selbst die leichte schultern. Was sie auch
tun - sie sorgen vor allem für sich und erst dann für die anderen. Haben
sie sich ein wenig angestrengt, fühlen sie sich schon als Helden, lieben es
zu prahlen, da sie befürchten, daß man es sonst nicht erfahren wü
rde. Den Genossen und dem Volk bringen sie keine Wärme entgegen,
sondern sind kühl, gleichgültig, gefühllos. Im Grunde sind solche
Menschen keine Kommunisten, oder zumindest können sie nicht als echte
Kommunisten gelten.
从前线回来的人说到白求恩，没有一个不佩服，没有一个不为他的精神所感动。晋察冀
边区的军民，凡亲身受过白求恩医生的治疗和亲眼看过白求恩医生的工作的，无不为之
感动。每一个共产党员，一定要学习白求恩同志的这种真正共产主义者的精神。
ENGLISH:
No one who returned from the front failed to express admiration for
Bethune whenever his name was mentioned, and none remained unmoved by his
spirit. In the Shansi-Chahar-Hopei border area, no soldier or civilian was
unmoved who had been treated by Dr. Bethune or had seen how he worked. Every
Communist must learn this true communist spirit from Comrade Bethune.

éthune, ne manifestât son admiration pour lui, et qui fût rest

alle waren von seiner Gesinnung tief berührt. Dr. Bethune machte einen
gewaltigen Eindruck auf alle Soldaten und Einwohner des Grenzgebiets Schansi
-Tschahar-Hopeh, die Gelegenheit hatten, sich von ihm behandeln zu lassen
oder mit eigenen Augen zu sehen, wie er arbeitete. Jedes Mitglied der
Kommunistischen Partei muß von Genossen Bethune diese Gesinnung eines
wahren Kommunisten lernen.
白求恩同志是个医生，他以医疗为职业，对技术精益求精；在整个八路军医务系统中，
他的医术是很高明的。这对于一班见异思迁的人，对于一班鄙薄技术工作以为不足道、
以为无出路的人，也是一个极好的教训。
ENGLISH:
Comrade Bethune was a doctor, the art of healing was his profession and he
was constantly perfecting his skill, which stood very high in the Eighth
Route Army's medical service. His example is an excellent lesson for those
people who wish to change their work the moment they see something different
and for those who despise technical work as of no consequence or as
promising no future.
FRENCH:
Le camarade Béthune était médecin. L'art de guérir était sa profession,
il s'y perfectionnait sans cesse et se distinguait par son habileté dans
tout le service médical de la VIIIe Armée de Route. Son cas exemplaire
devrait faire réfléchir tous ceux qui ne pensent qu'à changer de métier
sitôt qu'ils en entrevoient un autre, ou qui dédaignent le travail
technique, le considérant comme insignifiant, sans avenir.
SPANISH:
El camarada Bethune era médico. Dedicado al arte de curar, perfeccionaba
constantemente su técnica; se distinguía por su maestría en el servicio m
édico del VIII Ejército. Esto constituye una excelente lección para
aquellos que quieren cambiar de trabajo apenas ven otro nuevo, y para
quienes menosprecian el trabajo técnico considerándolo sin importancia ni
futuro.

Il compagno Bethune era medico, aveva fatto della medicina la sua
professione e migliorava di continuo le sue capacità; tra tutto il
personale medico dell'Ottava armata, egli si distingueva per la sua
competenza. Il suo esempio rappresenta una buona lezione per coloro che
vogliono cambiare lavoro non appena vedono qualcosa di nuovo, e per chi
disprezza il lavoro tecnico giudicandolo poco importante e senza prospettive.

Genosse Bethune war Arzt. Das Heilen kranker Menschen hatte er zu seinem
Beruf erwählt, und er vervollkommnete unermüdlich sein Können. Im
gesamten Sanitätsdienst der Achten Route-Armee stand seine ä
rztliche Kunst hoch im Ansehen. Sein Beispiel ist eine ausgezeichnete Lehre
sowohl für unbeständige und wählerische Menschen als auch für
Leute, die eine praktisch-technische Arbeit verachten, welche sie für
unbedeutend, für aussichtslos halten.
我和白求恩同志只见过一面。后来他给我来过许多信。可是因为忙，仅回过他一封信，
还不知他收到没有。对于他的死，我是很悲痛的。现在大家纪念他，可见他的精神感人
之深。
ENGLISH:
Comrade Bethune and I met only once. Afterwards he wrote me many letters
. But I was busy, and I wrote him only one letter and do not even know if he
ever received it. I am deeply grieved over his death.
FRENCH:
Je n'ai rencontré qu'une seule fois le camarade Béthune. Il m'a souvent é
crit depuis. Mais, pris par mes occupations, je ne lui ai répondu qu'une
fois, et je ne sais même pas s'il a reçu ma lettre. Sa mort m'a
beaucoup affligé.
SPANISH:
El camarada Bethune y yo nos vimos una sola vez. Posteriormente, me
escribió muchas veces. Pero como yo estaba muy ocupado, sólo le escribí
una carta y no sé si la recibió. Me siento profundamente apenado por su
desaparición. El homenaje que todos rendimos a su memoria demuestra cuán
hondamente su espíritu inspira a cada uno de nosotros.
ITALIAN:
Ho visto il compagno Bethune una sola volta. In seguito mi ha scritto
molte lettere. Ero molto occupato, e perciò gli ho risposto solo una volta
e non so neanche se abbia mai ricevuto la mia lettera. La sua morte mi
addolora profondamente. Ora tutti noi lo commemoriamo, e ciò dimostra
quanto il suo spirito abbia profondamente toccato ognuno di noi. Noi tutti
dobbiamo prendere a esempio il suo spirito di assoluta abnegazione. Con
questo spirito ognuno può essere molto utile al popolo.

Ich hatte nur einmal Gelegenheit, Genossen Bethune zu treffen. Danach
schrieb er mir viele Briefe. Da ich stark in Anspruch genommen war,
antwortete ich ihm nur mit einem einzigen Brief, weiß aber nicht
einmal, ob er ihn erhalten hat. Ich bin durch seinen Tod in tiefe Trauer
versetzt. Jetzt ehren wir alle sein Andenken, und das zeigt, wie tief wir
alle von seiner Gesinnung berührt sind.
我们大家要学习他毫无自私自利之心的精神。从这点出发，就可以变为大有利于人民的
人。一个人能力有大小，但只要有这点精神，就是一个高尚的人，一个纯粹的人，一个
有道德的人，一个脱离了低级趣味的人，一个有益于人民的人。
ENGLISH:
Now we are all commemorating him, which shows how profoundly his spirit
inspires everyone. We must all learn the spirit of absolute selflessness
from him. With this spirit everyone can be very useful to the people. A man'
s ability may be great or small, but if he has this spirit, he is already
noble-minded and pure, a man of moral integrity and above vulgar interests,
a man who is of value to the people.

Maintenant, nous honorons tous sa mémoire, c'est dire la profondeur des
sentiments que son exemple nous inspire. Nous devons apprendre de lui ce
parfait esprit d'abnégation. Ainsi, chacun pourra devenir très utile au
peuple. Qu'on soit plus ou moins capable, il suffit de posséder cet esprit
pour être un homme aux sentiments nobles, intègre, un homme d'une haute
moralité, détaché des intérêts mesquins, un homme utile au peuple.

德文則完全不同，主要是日耳曼詞彙。“同志”叫做 Genossen。
俄文更加不同，與英，法西葡意，德，都大不相同。
學過英語，學法西葡意語都不難，但是學德語俄語還是很難。
