SalesBot: Transitioning from Chit-Chat to Task-Oriented Dialogues

It keeps you company and awakens your inner subconscious, which is not easily perceived. Moreover, it never feels tired and can be described as the number one and the perpetual motion "salesperson".

这篇论文提出了一套简约又完整,有效又易用的框架,来教给大家如何得到一个训练有素的,又能闲聊又能带货的机器人。论文亮点是机器人可以在闲聊中发现用户潜在的某种意向。然后机器人用一句巧妙的话来把对话从闲聊中(chitchat)无缝过渡到带货(task-oriented)聊天。在科研方向,仍然有很大提升和改进空间。因为还有一些很重要的问题需要攻克。在商业方向,如果搭配使用垂直专业领域数据的训练,尤其是元宇宙、虚拟人方面会不会也有很大的潜力呢?

This paper presents a simple but effective and easy-to-use framework for training a multi-talented sales bot that can both chitchat and sell products. The highlight of the paper is that the bot can detect the potential intention of a user during their conversation. Once the intention is detected, this bot then generates a clever utterance to transition the conversation from chitchat to task-oriented dialogue seamlessly. In research, there is still much room for improvement and enhancement of this framework, because there are still many very important problems to be tackled. In the business aspect, if we feed the well-cleaned data from a specific domain into such a sales bot framework, would it also have great commercial potential, especially in Metaverse?

2. 最懂你的大白(Baymax Who Knows You Best)

有人app吃喝,有人app点歌,有人app美容,有人app按摩,今儿给大白分个好活,有人用app,要和对的医生唠唠嗑。

Some people use apps to order food, listen to songs, find a beauty shop, to find a masseuse. Some people also need apps to find the right doctor to chat with.

我们现在可以用各种AI加持的功能去很容易的找到非常适合自己吃喝玩乐的地方。然而,在自己生病以后,虽然网上可以咨询的医生有很多,但是哪一个才是最适合自己的却没有那么容易找到。很多时候都是要靠我们自己花时间去挑选。这篇论文就解决了这样一个痛点,论文的方法会根据患者提出的问题以及医生的个人资料以及过往的聊天历史来进行匹配。如果匹配效果非常的好,我们和医生的美好缘分不就更容易的开始了嘛?

We can use various AI-enhanced platforms to easily find the perfect place for us to relax. However, when you are sick, although there are many doctors you can consult online, it is not as easy to find out which one is the best for you. We often need to spend a great deal of time picking doctors. This paper's approach matches doctors and patients based on the following information: the questions asked by the patient, the doctor's profile and past chat history. If the two people successfully matched by the platform communicate very well during the conversation, would patients and doctors have a better understanding of each other's stories?

什么?最近不仅诞生了AI画师,现在连不要百万年薪的AI调音师也出来了?这篇论文的方法对于唱歌不自信的人可是有救了。它可以在不改变唱歌内容和音色的情况下,来改善音调和声调。(什么?又问我什么是音调而什么又是声调?可是我确实查了很多资料,没有得到一个很好的答案。也许请教身边懂唱歌的朋友或者在论文中会知道这个问题的答案。)

What? Not only have AI painters been born recently, but now even AI tuners who don't earn millions a year are released. The method in this paper is a lifesaver for people who are not good singers. It can improve the intonation and vocal tone of the voice without changing the content and vocal timbre. (If you ask me what is intonation and vocal tone? To be honest, I have no idea about the details. I checked many websites, however, I didn't get a good answer. Maybe asking a friend around who knows how to sing or reading this paper carefully will tell you the answer to this question.)

但是,这个方法到底是对调音师的威胁还是一个非常有利于人机合作的工具,就留给大家来各抒己见吧。

Whether this study is a threat to the tuner or a very beneficial tool for human-machine cooperation is left open for further discussion.

4. 填字界小诸葛(Crossword "AlphaGo")

填字游戏会给出玩家一定的线索。这些线索会帮助玩家找到正确的答案。这篇论文的工作可以快速的解决英文版的猜字游戏。需要注意的是,任何游戏只要在中国这片大地上,便会变出各种丰富多彩的花样。游戏的主题可以有成语、古诗词、人名、地名、风景名胜古迹等等。

Crossword puzzles provide the player with certain clues. These clues will help the player to find the correct answer. This paper proposed a method to quickly and automatically solve English crossword puzzles. It is important to note that, you may also feel, any game will give rise to a variety of variant versions, especially in China. The topics of puzzles can be idioms, ancient poems, names of people and locations, famous places and so on.

那我们把这篇论文的成果移植到我们这片土地的话,应该就会造出来一个学问广博、无所不知、上知天文、下知地理、中晓人和、明阴阳、懂八卦、晓奇门、知遁甲,运筹帷幄之中、决胜千里之外的小诸葛啦!

If we transplant the achievement of this paper into our scenarios, we should be able to create a learned, omniscient, all-knowing, and knowledgable AI model (similar to AlphaGo) that is equipped with excellent strategic thinking skills to solve complex problems and plan for the future!
