Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or Computer Science

• Availability to work remotely 36+ hours/week during summer and 10-20 hours/week during Fall/Spring semester. Candidates who can work for a full year will be given preference.

• Candidates must be located in the Tallahassee, FL area.

• Strong Python, SQL, Microsoft Office Suite skills

• Experience working with large datasets and databases

• Interest in product management and/or product development

• Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in engineering, HVAC, or mechanical systems.

• Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)

• Experience with database design and creation (Postgres preferred)

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related business degree or working towards degree

• SQL experience

• Ability to design and develop complete analytical solutions in Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, and Excel

• Experience developing data integration solutions

• Strict adherence to best-practices and standards

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of relational database design principles, especially dimensional modeling

• Knowledge/Experience of standard ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SSIS, and Informatica

• Understanding of source control, such as Git and Microsoft Team Foundation Services

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and exceptional planning and organizational skills

• 1+ years in R/Python and SQL

• 1+ years professional experience in model development and/or data analytics (or Master's degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics or a related quantitative field) 

• Passionate about probability and statistical inference and some experience with AB testing

• Deep understanding of classification, regression and forecasting models and AB testing

• Experience working in a cross-functional environment with teamwork and excellent communication skills
