Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.
Demonstrated expertise in full-stack web application development within an Agile environment, including designing and developing rich internet content and reusable web components using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS and web services patterns -- REST and AJAX.
Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming in MATLAB and Ruby on Rails.
Demonstrated expertise in unit and integration testing of web applications using Ruby and QUnit testing frameworks.
Demonstrated expertise writing object oriented database queries and creating views using Active Record on MySQL databases to extract, manipulate and save data.
You may meet or have interest in any one of the following qualifications:
Strong object-oriented design skills, coupled with a deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Proficiency in one or more of the following developer skills: Java, C/C++, PHP, Python, Ruby, Unix, MySQL, Clojure, Scala, Java Script, CSS, HTML5
Experience in sophisticated methodologies such as Data Modeling, Validation, Processing, Hadoop, MapReduce, Mongo, Pig
Experience with web frameworks such as AngularJS, NodeJS, SproutCore
Proven experience in application development in Objective-C for macOS or iOS a plus
Client-Server protocol & API design Skills
Able to craft multi-functional requirements and translate them into practical engineering tasks
A fundamental knowledge of embedded processors, with in-depth knowledge of real time operating system concepts.
Excellent debugging and critical thinking skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, team-based environment

Minimum Qualifications
Experience with large scale, distributed application design
Detail oriented and passionate about building great software
A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level
Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
Passion for building high quality software with extensive experience in unit
testing and test driven development
Excellent communication and writing skills
Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience contributing as a full-stack developer is a very strong plus
Familiarity with application development, Java and/or TypeScript is a strong plus
Experience with continuous build and integration tools such as Ansible, Docker and/or Jenkins will be a strong plus
Experience with Git or equivalent distributed revision control systems
