A strong interest in Data Science and Engineering and related development, exemplified by a solid grasp of concepts in:
Data Science areas such as Data processing, Machine learning, Deep learning, Natural Language processing(Text/log processing, Chatbots, Knowledge graphs)
Data Engineering areas such as Map-reduce, Hadoop, Kafka, Spark
Data Science toolsets/libraries (e.g., Pandas, Keras, Tensorflow, ScikitLearn)
Tableau and other data visualization tools
Databases like Relational Databases, No-SQL Databases, Graph Databases and exposure to Associated Query languages.Strong fundamental computer science skills, e.g. algorithms, distributed systems, data structures, object-oriented programming, including:
Strong programming and debugging skills in Python, R
Familiarity with Linux, Java, C/C++
Familiarity with Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or AzureAnd is pursuing an MS degree in CS, CE, or EE
Enrolled and working towards BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning or related field.
Please note that in order to be eligible for an internship, we require that you be returning to school the following quarter/semester to work towards completing your degree
Must be attending a school in the U.S.
Strong technical foresight, understanding of object-oriented programming/design, algorithms, and data structures and how to efficiently implement them into a solution
Curiosity about how things work and tenacity to learn and bring new perspective
A strong work ethic, customer success and quality first, self-awareness and desire to challenge and solve problems
Strong communication skills, ability convey complex ideas, a positive approach, continuous learner and empathy to others
Experience deploying, monitoring and maintaining data science products in cloud environments such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
Good understanding of Machine Learning methods and Statistics, including ML project lifecycle and associated challenges at each stage of development
Can demonstrate written production quality, well-documented and tested, scalable code in Python. Experience with tools like mlFlow, Airflow, Docker and Cloud Platforms such as AWS/GCP is ideal.
Strong understanding of data transformations and analytics functions using tools/languages like Pandas, Sklearn, SQL and Spark

Deep knowledge in one or more of machine learning / deep learning / personalization / NLP / Language Models / ranking.
Experience in building/prototyping machine learning models and algorithms and wrangling large datasets
Proficient in using Python (e.g., numpy, scikit-learn, tensorflow, pytorch, keras, huggingface) to implement machine learning models and algorithms
Proficient in shell scripting, SQL and Unix/Linux command-line tools
Ability to summarize and clearly convey technical topics to multiple audiences
Driven by the opportunity to build products, with a get-it-done approach and a strong bias towards action.
Intellectual curiosity, creative problem-solving and time management skills
Proven track record of delivering outstanding high impact projects in multifaceted settings
Embodies Salesforce and MuleSoft values, particularly ownership, make it awesome, customer-centric, and trust
