Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
GPA of 3.0 or greater
The ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance
One or more of the following: C++, C, Java, AWS, Docker, UI, Hadoop, AI, ML, Embedded Systems
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with at least one mainstream front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility issues.
Basic knowledge and skills in UI/UX design.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Able to independently solve problems and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Passion and curiosity for front-end technology, continuously seeking to learn and improve.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous technical internship(s), if applicable.
Understanding of computer science fundamentals in OO design, functional programming, data structure, and algorithm design.
Has one or more backend programming experiences such as C++, C#, or Java.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Mandarin Speaking
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related degree from Howard University
Have expressed interest Howard/AWS practicum and will be enrolled during the time of the co-op
Have a graduation conferral date on or after November 2023
Previous Technical Internship Experience
Demonstrable track record of dealing with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
Experience with Amazon Web Services
