Minimum education and experience required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience;
OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Skills Required:
Must have experience with: coding in an object-oriented programming language Scala;
data ingestion in cloud data lake (Google) using Spark and cloud technology;
utilizing agile methodology for sprint planning; implementing metadata, data completeness, and data quality checks using SQL queries;
developing process and business logic flows using microsoft visio/lucid charts; job creation, automation and monitoring using Airflow/Databricks;
performing data migration tests from old source file systems to new data sources; performing end-to-end ETL flow testing for business models;
source data collection and validation using Excel;
engaging with engineering teams to support production loads;
and performing production data load aggregations & validations for models using views generated for product owners in SQL. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Basic Qualifications
Currently pursuing a PhD with an expectation that degree will be obtained by August 2027 or earlier
Must be continuing in the same course of study of the most recent degree following completion of the internship
At least 1 year of experience or academic work using open source programming languages for data analysis
Direct experience with either Python, R or SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience or academic work in inferential statistics
Experience or academic work in machine learning
Experience or academic work with relational databases
Experience or academic work with large scale data analysis
