期末考试周，留学圈传来噩耗。

验尸官证实，12月4日，加州大学戴维斯分校 18 岁学生Xu被发现在宿舍内身亡。

加州大学戴维斯分透露，周一早上 6:51 左右，警方和消防部门接到报警，称位于 Tercero 宿舍区的宿舍发生火灾。

当天晚些时候，学生们目睹了Xu的遗物被搬离宿舍。

Xu去世的消息传出后，在美国论坛Reddit上引起网友共鸣

为逝者和他的家人感到难过，生命是宝贵的。

他的父母一定伤心欲绝。我很同情他们。我女儿是UC Davis大一新生，我无法想象学生们现在正在经历什么。下周就是期末考试了。

我跟他不熟，但他是很健谈，总是满怀梦想。愿他安息。

安息吧，我很喜欢和你聊天，和你一起玩游戏。😞我将永远铭记你的话，我希望你能看到我从那时起进步了多少，你的话对我的影响有多大，现在我玩得越来越好了。虽然我们只是在网上聊天，但你是那么有趣，我多么希望能和你再打一场游戏。

在加州大学就读，可能会产生很大压力。对于所有年轻学生来说，生活从来从来不是一帆风顺的。二三十岁的人生会发生很多变化，你必须看得更远。

重修课程，甚至多花几个学期来获得学位是绝对正常的。重要的是坚持下去，同时寻找积极的方式释放压力。一旦你渡过难关，你的生活就会更加稳定。

作为加州大学洛杉矶分校研究生院的毕业生，我的孩子也曾在那里就读。但我保证，坚持下去，一切都会好起来的。

UC’s can be an incubator of stress, especially with the rigor and the pace of quarter systems. To all the young students at Davis, life is not linear. There are ups and downs. You have to take a long view. Life is tumultuous in your 20and 30’s. There is a lot of change going on. It’s been this way for eons. It’s absolutely normal to retake courses or even take few more quarters to get your degree. The important thing is stick it out and while finding positive ways to release stress. Once you ride out the waves, your life will be more steady…. As a product of uc grad school and having kid in a uc or out with a uc degree, things were bumpy along the way. But I promise, stick it out and it gets better.
