Mr. Tom Leader, Mr. MENG Jianmin, and Mr. MA Weidong listened to the reports of the 7 shortlisted teams through the online meeting. It was very touching to participate in the final review, and all the judges responsibly offered their opinions from different perspectives of this project and reached a unanimous approval for the award list. It is predictable that the project will face a series of problems in the process of implementation, and how to ensure the implementation is the main point of concern for each expert.

The depth of the 7 shortlisted teams' schemes has exceeded everyone's expectations, each team was very serious, and several of them made very detailed research on Xiangshan. The elimination system review method adopted by the competition organizers was also very good, which was more conducive to producing reasonable solutions. The schemes need to construct a landmark that is trendsetting and topical, under the premise of considering the economy, applicability and rationality, in line with the owner's expectation for the site.

Some schmes were very rational schemes and some were very romantic. All the schemes represented a reflection on architectural diversity, and the jury panel focused more on the needs of Xiangshan at this stage in the final review, such as how to combine local culture and original design, how to show the spirit of the city, and how to make the space more humanistic and friendly.

People's Square in Xiangshan, Ningbo, will become a civic living space for people in Xiangshan County. It needs to speak of the native culture, be a stage for current events, gatherings, concerts, and festivals, and at the same time, become an international hub for transportation, commercial activity, and cultural exchange – the beating heart at the center of things. Schemes all showed clear and practical understanding of the city. TOD, train station, bus, and traffic all were quite appealing and thoughtfully planned.

Each of the 7 schemes has its own characteristics and showed the 「HEART OF IMAGINATION」mentioned in the mission statement.
