‘You can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ means that it is very difficult, if not impossible, to change the way a person does something when they have been doing it the same way for many years.

In other words, you can’t change someone’s long-established ways, especially as people grow older. The expression can relate to a person’s habits, traits or mindset.

The "old" might not be exactly old (age), but stubbornness.

 So reserve a puppy mentality  at all times one will be young 4ever.

Maybe tricks aren't as necessary for the old.

It's only a pity when age fails to beget wisdom and courage.

My puppy is 1.5 yrs now, already not as active as before.

adolescent,puppyhood exited, . sexual maturity 6-9months

It was surgeried, not sure if this changes the maturity proc

想起个韩国的笑话，有个人家的狗没有spay,它背着主人整天瞎逛，最后全村人都来抗议，村里人家狗莫名其妙怀孕生小狗

生的小狗全都象他家的狗，全村强烈要求主人把狗子spay掉

从此都是汪星人，哈哈

人的天性的确很顽固，基因很重要，所以找爱人，看父母是啥样是有一定道理滴～
