MSHSAA District Solo and Ensemble Music Festival

一年一度的Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) St. Louis Suburban District Solo and Ensemble Music Festival 昨天在Parkway Central高中举行。

St. Louis Suburban Solo and Ensemble Festival.  This is a voluntary opportunity for students to perform with a smaller group of people or even as a soloist for a standard based on rating and the opportunity to perform at the State Festival. The students have a specific time for the performance, room number, the name of the performance, students involved, and the accompanist if needed. Dress should be dress-up clothing--no t-shirts, sweatpants, leggings, or tennis shoes. Tuck in your shirt, wear a belt. Some ensembles even try to coordinate their clothes.

大概意思：圣路易斯郊区独奏与合奏音乐节。学生自愿，包括独奏和小组合奏，也是州音乐节的选拔赛。学生有表演的时间、房间号、表演名称、参与的学生以及需要的伴奏者。着装正式，不得穿 T 恤、运动裤、打底裤或网球鞋。衬衫塞进裤腰，系上皮带。团体也可统一服装。

老二有两个项目：下午四点21分的钢琴独奏得了最高的“Exemplary”。 四点35分的四人铜管合奏得了“Outstanding”。比他们四人去年的合奏得分“Satisfactory”高了一级。 

昨儿下午三点我们就到了学校。停车场车多，绕了一圈才找到车位。进了大厅，练习的学生很多。人声，各种乐器的演奏声，觉得快炸锅了。我在剧院门口碰到老熟人Michelle。得知她二公子今年结婚，小儿子去年上大学了。一起感叹孩子们都长大了。还碰到好几个朋友的孩子。他们皆彬彬有礼，如玉君子。
