在现在的职位工作两年多，学校，postdoc for the first one year and a half,
research scientist since last March. fidelity账户里面大约7000。可能8月1日到
新的公司上班，不知道如何处理这部分基金？

you can if the broker allows you to.
as far as i know, at least vanguard does
