大家好，先祝福那些拿到绿卡以及排期到了的XDJM。
有个递交485的问题。
我是EB2，currently holding H1-B, PERM和140都已经下来了，PD是08年底，现在来看
，可以递交485了。
我现在单身，不过有计划明年下半年结婚，配偶没有绿卡。
所以想请问，如果我目前先不递交485，而是明年下半年结婚后再交，以便让配偶能尽
早拿到绿卡，是否可行？当然我知道如果到时排期又倒退到我的PD之前了，我就递不了
了，还得再次等排期再次排到我。不过现在想确定的是，如果目前的排期不倒退，我这
边除了结婚外没有任何其他status的变化（same employer, still holding H1B）,是
不是我结婚后可以随时和配偶同时递交485？

Only if your H1b has plenty of time. If your h1b already passed 6 years or
close to 6, then you cannot extend your H1 after your PD is current and not
submit 485.

从现在算起还有两年左右）。您提供的信息让我想再搞清楚两个follow up questions:
1. 我目前的H1B所剩下的那两年应该还是有效的是吧，不应该因为485current了就把我
已经被approved了的H1B extension视为无效吧？
2. In worst case scenario，如果我现在不递交485，错过了这班车，然后排期又倒退
到我的PD之前了，且一直到我现在的H1B expire时（也就是今后两年里）排期一直没能
再前进到我的PD。到那时，我是否还可以再次延H1B？

如果之前排气是08年09，但是转了公司，目前正在重新作perm,如果半年后perm和140都
顺利通过和relink,能再重新交485么？假设半年后继续前进到09年底。

You CAN extend H1B by one year if your date is current. Plus, whatever is
left on your current H1B will remain valid.
Retrogression is not the worst case. The worst case is you may get laid off
without warning -- don't say your employer never laid off people, anything
could happen in this kind of economy. If that happens you can still save the
PD but all other efforts are down the drain.
You can always extend your H1B by one year or three years based on approved
140.
If you plan to have wedding ceremony next year, why not consider getting the
certificate now and file 485? It looks like you have decided to get married
anyway.
