On Jan. 26, 2023, President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden hosted a reception to celebrate the Lunar New Year in the East Room of the White House. President Biden said on Twitter, "For centuries, families across the world have gathered to celebrate the first moon of the new year. It is a time for sharing meals, for celebration, for renewal and reflection. From the Biden family to yours, we wish you all a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year."
