A PhD graduate's heartfelt acknowledgment of his dissertation has gone viral on the internet, with him spending over 900 words thanking his mother. Some netizens commented that they were moved to tears after reading it.
“一个人，无论从我们的动物属性还是精神属性来看，父母都是最重要的人。但很可惜，我的父亲在我四岁时便去往天堂了……我妈经常说她命不好，可不是嘛，有多少女人能经历两次婚姻的不顺、单独养育两个孩子的困难，外加失业带来的经济压力。我想，从那次葬礼开始，可能我这个无忧无虑的小淘气，就成了她能坚持笑对生活的动力了吧。”

苦尽甘来，开启人生新篇章

Zhu Zhanwu, a 28-year-old PhD student in Cell Biology at Lanzhou University's School of Life Sciences, is determined to work as a postdoctoral fellow at Lanzhou University after graduation.
这样一位才华横溢的优秀人才一路走来，却充满坎坷与艰辛。
Zhu is a young talent with many academic achievements and honors to his name, but his journey to success was not an easy one.
Zhu was four when his father passed away due to lung cancer, and in the same year, his mother's company went bankrupt, leaving the family without any income.
A year later, Zhu was diagnosed with the skin condition vitiligo, causing his mother to work multiple jobs to pay for his treatment. At one point, his mother was so overwhelmed that she lost feeling in her legs on her way to work.
Despite their hardships, the mother and son supported each other. Zhu wrote in his acknowledgment that his mother sacrificed her own needs for him, ensuring that he had one egg and 250 grams of milk every day. "My mother said she wanted me to grow tall and strong, and become an upright person in the future," wrote Zhu.

“整整 23 年的求学生涯……和我接触时间最长也是最让我没齿难忘的，还是我硕士及博士的导师程博教授……在新环境近一年的时间里，发现了那边的导师有很多问题……斟酌再三后，为了不让自己深陷泥潭，我也选择退学重考……程老师说她愿意做我的伯乐，只要我考虑清楚，她实验室的大门永远向我敞开。”
“这是我人生最灰暗的时刻，看到的能够照亮每一处黑暗角落的烈阳。”
In addition to his mother, Zhu expressed his gratitude towards his supervisor, Professor Cheng Bo, who showed care and support for his academic and personal life.
后来，程老师也不断地寄予朱占武关心和温暖，在朱占武面临抉择之时，向程老师说了自己的处境。程老师说她的名字是博，可其实之前她想在“博”前面加一个“伯”的。
