More and more people move from the countryside to big cities. Does this development bring more advantages or disadvantages to the environment?

优点段（2个点）：Relocating from rural to urban areas can reduce intensive farming, a practice creating new farm lands through deforestation. This allow allows for the reintroducing of ecozones in abandoned farmlands, which releases natural habitat and prevents the extinctions of some rare local species. More people moving to cities also means less agricultural runoff of excess fertilizers, which results in significant negative impacts for marine life.

缺点段1（1个点）：Waste-disposal problems are exacerbated by the increasing population density in urban areas. The explosively increased rubbish, most of which is not biodegradable, may overwhelm the capacity of a city and thus cannot be properly recycled. Such waste is likely to end up filling our oceans and landfills, jeopardizing local species and environment.
