《新冠病毒感染者居家治疗指南》发布!

Health authorities on Thursday issued two guidelines in tandem to help COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms recover at home and to properly monitor their health with test kits.
According to the guideline, COVID-19 patients who are asymptomatic or exhibit mild symptoms without serious underlying diseases, can be treated at home.
The guidelines allowed the majority of new COVID-19 patients to stay at home, except for those with serious heart, liver, lung and brain illnesses that necessitate hospitalization.
Where conditions permit, the home-based patients should live in relatively separate rooms and use their own restrooms.
Tissues, surgical masks, single-use gloves, sanitizers and a trash can with a lid are listed among the necessities for them.
The guideline required grassroots medical institutions to incorporate homebound COVID-19 patients into grid-based management. Home isolation may be risky for vulnerable groups. To address the problem, neighborhood authorities and grassroots clinics were tasked with keeping an eye on seniors who live alone, pregnant women or people who need blood dialysis, and advising them on medications and test kits.
The guideline also called for local governments to set up channels for fast transfer of patients between upper-level hospitals and communities.
Patients need to take their body temperatures in the morning and at night daily and avoid using antibacterial drugs.
Those suffering worsening breathing difficulties, persistent fever or other symptoms are allowed to leave isolation for treatment, preferably by calling for an ambulance or driving to hospitals.
The rules suggest COVID-19 patients should not venture out of their homes. They should call for an ambulance or drive to hospitals if suffering breathing difficulties or other serious health issues. Public transportation should be avoided.
To reduce cross-infections, the rules recommended separate rooms for homebound patients.
The quarantine period ends for homebound patients if all the following requirements are met -- their symptoms improve significantly or if they have no obvious symptoms, they test negative in antigen self-test applications and take two consecutive nucleic acid tests with the cycle threshold values not smaller than 35.
The rules urged local governments to step up the production of test kits and supervision over their dealers.
Neighborhood authorities are also obligated to help those with worsening conditions be hospitalized. Hospitals cannot use any excuse to refuse admitting such patients, the rules said.
