❶ public persona is ruined/collapsed/crumbles
通常解释为:"the aspect of someone’s character that is presented or perceived by others.”
例:
It would ruin his whole mystery man persona.

❷ blot one's copybook
“Blot”
a shameful act or quality that tarnishes an otherwise good character or reputation
I should have known. You never blot your copybook for God.
❸ scandal
“Scandal”在词典里指的是“an action or event regarded as morally or legally wrong and causing general public outrage”。
The sex scandal finally led to his downfall.
The scandal was in the headlines for several days.
Are you kidding me? You have a sold-out house out there. Sold out!

❷ it is on the house
It is on the house
Here. It's on the house. The first one's free?
❸ house to house
I found a temporary job during my summer vacation to deliver newspapers from house to house.
❹ the House
the House可以指美国众议院,也就是the (United States) House of Representative的简称。
Some members of the House and Senate worked all day.
