UNDP’s Global Programme on Nature for Development brings together 3 different initiatives under one program – the Equator Initiative, the National Biodiversity Initiative, and the Global Forest Initiative – in order to identify, foster, showcase and celebrate nature-based solutions that help achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at local, national and international levels. Each year, the Equator Prize recognizes ten innovative initiatives from Indigenous peoples and local communities that showcase successful protection, restauration, and/or sustainable management of nature benefiting people and the planet. The translation of the nomination form into several languages supports all nominees to submit meaningful applications and renders the selection process more inclusive.
We require Online Volunteers to help us translate the nomination form of this year's Equator Prize of around 7 pages from English to Chinese, and to help us proofread the translation. The nomination form will be emailed to the selected Online Volunteers. We will select 1 Online Volunteer to conduct the translation, and 1 to proofread.
