• Some knowledge of driving and applying user-centered design practices, and the creation of artifacts like User Journey Maps, Competitive analysis reports, Sitemaps, Personas, Wireframes and prototypes, knowing when to apply the best methods for the challenge at hand.

• Some experience in designing, conducting, and synthesizing user research across various methodologies. Using data to inform design, understand the platform’s performance and identify improvement opportunities.

• Experience presenting and the ability to convey complex concepts and other information in a clear, concise, and compelling way.

• Proficient with Adobe XD, Figma, Principle, In Vision, or comparable applications

• Design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc.

• Interactive prototyping, information architecture, user research, and/or usability testing

• Written and verbal communication skills

• Basic knowledge of project scope estimates

• Basic knowledge with common web analytics

• Currently enrolled in college pursuing a BS/BA degree

• Currently pursuing a degree in user experience-related field of design, such as Design Research, Design Strategy, Service Design, or a related field

• A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables

• The ability to manage ambiguity and work autonomously

• Strong knowledge of design thinking and user-centered design principles

• Demonstrates passion for solving problems

• Experience with design software such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Miro

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data

• Strong visual design skills with the ability to visualize qualitative and quantitative data

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to facilitate workshops with cross-functional participants

• Passion for healthcare and the potential for genetic research to impact people's lives positively

• Curiosity and drive
