《小美人鱼》票房不佳，美国网友怪起中国观众？
5月26日，备受争议的迪士尼真人版电影《小美人鱼》同步登陆中美大银幕。
Disney's live-action remake, The Little Mermaid, was released in North America and the Chinese mainland on May 26.
然而，该电影在中国的票房表现和口碑却让中国观众被扣上了“种族歧视”的帽子。
中国票房表现不佳
据环球时报，票房网站BoxOfficeMojo的最新数据显示，《小美人鱼》目前北美本土票房为1.175亿美元，全球票房1.85亿美元，海外票房6830万美元，仅占总票房的36%，这个比例在好莱坞大片中偏低。
在烂番茄影评网站上，《小美人鱼》获得67%的新鲜度（媒体评分），Metacritic影评网站上的均分则从最初的61下降到59（满分100分）。
The Little Mermaid has received mixed reviews, with a 67 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes but only a 47 percent fresh rating from top media outlets. Additionally, the film's Metacritic score has dropped from an initial 61 to 59.

据猫眼专业版统计，《小美人鱼》在中国上映5天后总票房1900万元（人民币，下同），最终票房预期从之前的4000万元调低至2800万元，豆瓣评分5.2分。
该电影在亚洲和欧洲的表现都陷入窘境，其在中国的票房和口碑也引起了美国媒体和网友的注意。
有网友暗指中国观众对《小美人鱼》冷淡是由于“种族歧视”。
A number of netizens from Western countries on Twitter have attacked Chinese audiences, alleging that poor box office numbers are due to "racial discrimination."
甚至还有网友拿电影海报做文章。
一则网友发布的《小美人鱼》海报对比图显示，左边的海报展示出了女主的自然肤色，而右边的海报中女主在水中向阳光游去，皮肤呈蓝色。
According to a viral comparison chart on Twitter of two promotional posters of The Little Mermaid, posted and reposted by those group of netizens, the US poster clearly shows the natural skin color of lead actress Halle Bailey, while a Chinese poster shows the same actress under the water swimming up toward a ray of sunshine, which gives her skin a blueish tinge.
有网友对此附和，“就是一种为了迎合中国观众的营销手段”“毫不意外”。
“中国海报里的小美人鱼……是蓝色的。”
一点儿也不意外。
不过，也有网友反驳这只是多张海报中的一张。
那这张海报呢……你以为所有美国人都是无知的吗?
啊？这是我见过最离谱的事儿了。这些是被用到的其他海报。任何人都可以挑选适合他们叙事视角的海报。
你就是个小丑，太可悲了，居然还有这么多人相信你的话。
对此，《人民文娱》发表评论称，票房本是市场反应，但偏偏一些外媒，甚至一些国内大V借此带风向，乱给中国观众扣帽子。用美国的政治正确来教育中国观众要“提升审美”，真是贻笑大方。
《小美人鱼》为何争议不断
自从黑人演员海莉·贝利（Halle Bailey）确认出演该影片后，人们对是否应该由黑人女性扮演动画电影中的白人角色展开了激烈的讨论。
Since the announcement that Halle Bailey would play Ariel in the upcoming live-action film, there's been a heated discussion about whether a black woman should play a character who is white in Disney's original animated film.
而本次电影的上线，更是将此前的争论推到了风口浪尖，主要争议有以下几点：
➤ 不符合童年记忆
有观众认为，像《白雪公主》一样，安徒生童话中美人鱼的形象早已深深扎根在人们心中，接受新的角色形象需要极大想象力。

➤ 迪士尼可以创作新故事
有观众一针见血指出，迪士尼真的需要更多的原创故事，停止翻拍动画电影！
Disney really needs more original stories... and quit turning animated movies to live action.
有观众认为，如果想要种族多元化，迪士尼完全可以创作属于黑人的故事，迪士尼也并非没有黑人公主，《公主和青蛙》（The Princess and the Frog）的女主蒂安娜就是最好的例子。

➤ 影片过于突出政治正确
也有观点认为，影片过于突出政治正确，将海的女儿们设定为各种肤色毫无必要。
This is a story about mermaids and magic and talking fish — it doesn't need a political angle, or an unexpected family connection…
这只是一个关于美人鱼和魔法的故事——它不需要政治角度，也不需要想象不到的家庭关系。

据报道，迪士尼公司总裁凯瑞·伯克（Karey Burke）曾表示要让公司的作品更具包容性——这家娱乐巨头致力于在2022年底前使迪士尼至少50%的常规角色代表小众群体，如少数族裔。
Karey Burke, president of Disney's General Entertainment Content, once vowed to have more inclusivity in the company's productions - as the entertainment giant works to make underrepresented groups, such as racial minorities, account for at least 50 percent of its regular characters by the end of 2022.
《小美人鱼》只是一个例子。在即将上映的《彼得潘与温蒂》中，小精灵“小叮当”由黑人女演员雅拉·莎希迪饰演。

尽管争议不断，《小美人鱼》的主演海莉本人表示自己不在乎负面评价，并且对本次选角心怀感恩。
她声称，“世界上有那么多黑人女孩，我自己心里也住着一个女孩，希望这部电影可以让她们明白自己是独一无二的。只要努力，每个女孩都可以成为‘公主’。”
Halle Bailey claimed that she didn't "pay attention to the negativity," instead focusing on gratitude as a way to ignore the backlash. "I want the little girl in me and the little girls just like me who are watching to know that they're special, and that they should be a princess in every single way," she said.
