Inspired by thousands of real cases, the movie offers an unparalleled glimpse into the dark world of overseas cyber fraud that has grown rampant in China.
“One more viewer, one less fraud victim.” With this slogan, a new Chinese film — “No More Bets” — has captivated the country by tackling the issue of rampant overseas cybercrimes.
The movie offers an unprecedented look into the complex web of overseas cyber fraud, drawing inspiration from real fraud cases across China and featuring realistic portrayals of the industry’s inner workings.
Since its release on Aug. 8, “No More Bets” has dominated the domestic box office, raking in over 1.8 billion yuan ($248.1 million) — more than twice the earnings of “Meg 2: The Trench,” which was released Aug. 4., according to online ticketing website Maoyan. In comparison, “Barbie” collected $33.3 million over 25 days.

runaway 本是形容车辆、动物“失控的”，如果形容活动、成就、书籍唱片影片等，则引申为“非常成功的”（难以控制地取得成功，有点凡尔赛的味道），比如：
a runaway victory
轻而易举的胜利
a runaway best-seller.
一炮打响的畅销书
The film was a runaway success.
这部电影一炮打响。
Our Grand Sale in June was a runaway success.
我们6月份的大型促销一举成功。
hit 可以形容演员、影片、唱片、书籍，表示“风行一时的人或物”，可用作名词和形容词，替换词有 smash hit, sensation, blockbuster 等。文中 hit 一词描述了一部电影迅速在市场上获得巨大成功和关注。
take on 在这里是“较量”的意思，相当于 fight，如：
Democrats were reluctant to take on a president whose popularity ratings were historically high.
民主党人不愿与一位有史以来民众支持率最高的总统较量。
文中可以理解成“应对”，意思是，电影与网络诈骗展开较量，或者说，电影涉及到、关注了网络欺诈问题。

这句话的主干是：the movie offers an unparalleled glimpse into...
unparalleled 来自 parallel 一词，这两个词都有一个共同的前缀“par-”，意思是“相等、想通”，parallel 指的是两条线在平面上永远保持相同的距离，即“平行线”，而 unparalleled 意为没有类似的东西可以与之相提并论，没有相同的水平或程度，表达了“无与伦比、最”的含义，如：

cyber fraud 后面跟了一个定语从句，进行补充：that has grown rampant in China
rampant 在新闻中经常出现，意思是“猖獗的，泛滥的”，指一种问题或现象在某个地区大量存在且难以控制。在使用上，它可以搭配各种问题或现象，比如 rampant corruption（猖獗的腐败）、rampant inflation（猖獗的通货膨胀）、rampant crime（猖獗的犯罪）等。rampant 可以和 unchecked, uncontrolled 等词替换。

offer an unprecedented look into 和前文 offer an unparalleled glimpse into 属于同义替换，unprecedented = unparalleled，look = glimpse，积累下来。
drawing inspiration from real fraud cases 和前文的 Inspired by thousands of real cases 是同义替换，drawing inspiration from = inspired by，在句中都作状语。
feature 是外刊中很喜欢用的一个小词，它本义是 to include a particular person or thing as a special feature，可以理解成“主要有...，有...(这一主要特色)”，比如：
This restaurant features the most famous chefs in France.（=have the most famous chefs）
这家餐馆有法国最著名的厨师。
在实际使用中，经常能看到「影片/书籍/活动+feature+内容或主题」这样的结构，表示“影片/书籍主要讲了什么内容，活动的主题是什么”，如：
The exhibition features paintings by Picasso.
这次展览重点展出毕加索的画作。
再比如外媒在报道台湾人抢购厕纸时也用到了这个词：
When local television and newspapers featured stories about people stocking up, even more rushed to the shops to follow suit.
在当地电视和报纸报道人们囤货卫生纸时，更多民众涌向商店去抢购。
表示“电影或书籍讲述了什么内容”，除了用 feature，也可以用 revolve around (围绕着...，以...为中心) 表示，如：
“No More Bets,” directed by Shen Ao, revolves around a group of individuals who are tempted by lucrative overseas job offers, only to inadvertently fall into the clutches of an overseas fraud scheme.

这段话主要讲了《孤注一掷》的票房成绩，并和其它同期大片的票房进行对比。
①句可以分成三部分，第一部分是 Since its release on Aug. 8, “No More Bets” has dominated the domestic box office，概述了电影票房之高；
第二部分是 raking in over 1.8 billion yuan ($248.1 million)，具体介绍了票房达到多少；
第三部分是 more than twice the earnings of “Meg 2: The Trench,” which was released Aug. 4 和其它影片作对比，以体现票房之高。
release 本义是“发布、公布”，这里要翻译成“上映”。此外，我们也可以用 come out, be shown, be released, hit the big screen 表示“影片上映”。
我们还可以从这段话中积累到两个表示“票房达多少”的表达：rake in 和 collect。
rake 在公众号上讲过很多次了，它本是名词，表示“耙子”，名词动用，可以想象拿着耙子把钱耙到家里来的情景，很有画面感。有人喜欢在打牌前吃鸡爪就是这个道理，寓意鸡爪能捞钱。
所以，rake in 可以理解成“赚了多少钱”（耙了多少钱进来）。
除了 rake in 和 collect，我们也可以用 gross, earn, score 表示“票房达到”：
电影+gross+钱

比如美国权威电影杂志 Variety 对中国春节档电影的报道：
“Detective Chinatown 3” grossed an eye-watering $550 million (RMB3.55 billion).

再比如 Variety 对《我不是药神》的报道：
