美国财政部长珍妮特·耶伦10月13日在推特上表示：“我很高兴今天与中国人民银行行长潘功胜会面，进行双边会晤。作为世界上最大的两个经济体，良好的沟通对于更好地了解我们各自的经济前景和政策决策至关重要。

当我们采取有针对性的行动来保护我们的国家安全利益时，拜登总统@POTUS 和我寻求美中两国间的良性经济竞争，这对双方都有利。为此，我很高兴我们最近宣布成立了两个双边工作组。

其中包括由中国人民银行代表中国牵头和由美国财政部代表美国牵头的金融工作组，以便就经济和金融政策问题进行坦率和实质性的讨论。”

Secretary Janet Yellen said on Twitter on October 13: “I was glad to meet with Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People’s Bank of China today for a bilateral meeting. As the world’s two largest economies, robust communication is key to better understand our respective economic outlooks and policymaking decisions.

As we take targeted actions to protect our national security interests, @POTUS and I seek a healthy economic competition between our two countries that benefits both sides. To that end, I am pleased that we recently announced the establishment of two bilateral working groups.

That includes a Financial Working Group that the PBOC will lead for China and that Treasury will lead for the United States that will allow for frank and substantive discussions on economic and financial policy matters.”
