APAD: Pigs Might Fly
A sarcastic remark used to indicate that an event is very unlikely and/or to
question the credulity of someone. For example, "he said that he'd tidy his room
today," to which somebody might reply "... and pigs might fly" or other
variations such as "when pigs fly" and "oh look, I think I saw a flying pig."

I will use this on my boy sometime but wouldn't expect any effect. His room is
forever a mess. Through piles of books, bottles, clothes, and other eclectic
items, however, he sees a sublime beauty. He had everything in a perfect cosmic
order which his parents, with their fossil ideals and anachronic taste, have
failed to grasp. I wonder when I'm going to see pigs fly.
