文学城里，城外的才女
文学城的舒啸和小C博友都是城里著名的诗词翻译家，舒兄大家除了介绍狄金森和众文学家外，音乐造诣也特别的深，最近没怎么看到他，可能在忙。
小C大才女以文字细腻，描写生动著称，读她的文章特别的享受，她还热爱诗词，已经翻译了好多里尔克诗册里的诗，这是她博客的链接，大家可以去赏读：

上次五月份在芝加哥时恰逢美国作家博物馆成立五周年，参加了在那里举行的首届美国作家节，遇到诗人Joy Harjo在演讲，说实话，原来对她并不是太熟悉，只是听喜欢写诗的女儿提起过。这次听了她的分享回过头去再读她的诗时，感觉越来越喜欢。她的诗词给人一种清新的感觉，又因为她原住人的背景，诗词中带着特殊的印记。

关于如何写诗，Joy Harjo这样描述到："To imagine the spirit of poetry is much like imagining the shape and size of the knowing" ，细细地琢磨了一下，觉得她讲得还是挺有道理的。
原本主修医学预科的她说，“所以我开始写作，这就是发生的事情。 它接管了，我仍然不完全理解它。 但这就像制作简洁的歌曲。 一首歌就像一包能量，被各种节奏、旋律、和声等等塑造得令人难以置信。 诗就是这样。 这几乎就像是一名喜剧演员，但你不会笑。 你有这些非常有力的时刻，这就是我如何将它们与音乐结合在一起的方式。 我有一首诗，当我读到它时，我觉得我在吹萨克斯管。”
她的诗有时像讲话一样地娓娓道来，我问女儿，难道现在的现代诗都是如此？女儿纠正我说，那不叫“讲话”，叫“抒发”。当内心有一种感动涌现的时候，把这瞬间的感受记录下来，沉淀之后，就是诗了。小C在留言里进一步补充道：你女儿说的真好。 扩展一下， 不只是诗歌， 内心情感的涌动可以成诗，成文， 成歌， 成画， 是一种水到渠成的舒发， 所以到了那个时候不排遣的话会堵住，憋得慌 ：）
Once the World Was Perfect

Once the world was perfect, and we were happy in that world.
Then we took it for granted.
Discontent began a small rumble in the earthly mind.
Then Doubt pushed through with its spiked head.
And once Doubt ruptured the web,
All manner of demon thoughts
Jumped through—
We destroyed the world we had been given
For inspiration, for life—
Each stone of jealousy, each stone
Of fear, greed, envy, and hatred, put out the light.
No one was without a stone in his or her hand.
There we were,
Right back where we had started.
We were bumping into each other
In the dark.
And now we had no place to live, since we didn’t know
How to live with each other.
Then one of the stumbling ones took pity on another

A spark of kindness made a light.

那天在作家节上听Joy Harjo在介绍她的新书，很喜欢她的声音，很治愈。
《Poet Warrior》（诗人战士）是一本关于她痛苦中成长的自传，祖先和家庭背景的烙印造就了现在特别的她。自信，幽默，有感染力。NPR赞扬道“一个美妙的混合文本，将回忆录、诗歌、歌曲和梦想混合成独特的东西”，以及“一个照亮同情心并强调仪式重要性的叙述。”
