Enough is enough？

One old lady used to be a Ballet dancer and a model. Her husband showed me her picture when she was young. She was very gorgeous just like Audrey Hepburn! But she has been bedbound for 5 years due to severe osteoarthritis. Her husband who is 4years older than her has been taking care of her. If she were not a professional dancer, would she be able to walk instead of bedbound now? 

Is English for 适可而止 “Enough is enough”？

so bad that she had to stay in bed?

 

I think so. It is due to over-use. 水滴石穿，更不要说人的关节骨头了。有严重的背痛
