APAD: Take the bitter with the sweet
APAD: Take the bitter with the sweet
meaning: To accept both the negative and positive aspects of something. The phrase is typically used in an acknowledgement that nothing is perfect.
e.g. When it comes to this job, you have to take the bitter with the sweet. It's hard, but it's worth it.
Today, I had a relaxing breakfast at home without have to be stucked in the morning heavy traffic.
My breakfast - a smoothie bowl is realy delicious. I am very full after finish my bowl. Otherwise I can finish another bowl. It is a perfect balance of sweet, sour and bitter. It is creamy like silk.
It was blended from orange, bitte mello, banana, and carrort and pineapple, lemon juice and some nuts.
Ingredients
SMOOTHIE BOWL
2 fully ripe golden bitter melon
1 orange
half middle size carot
1 small ripe banana ( fresh or frozen)
half cup frozen pineapply chunks
2-3 Tbsp walnut
2-3 cashew
2 cups of water
1-2 tbs lemon juice
TOPPINGS optional
1 Tbsp sunflower seeds
It looks a lot of stuff. But we alway have most of them in our fridge. So it is very easy and fast to make this kind of breakfast. Some time I just replace the bitter melons with other veggies, keeping other ingredients the same.
Thank you. Have a good day!
