“我认为...”还可以怎么说？丨外刊写作句型
写作中经常要表达个人观点，同学们最常用的是 from my perspective 或 as far as I'm concerned，今天给大家补充几个更新颖、地道的表达。

From where I stand
2023年1月1日的《纽约时报》中有篇文章谈到了“身材矮小的好处”，文中有这么一句话：
From where I stand, being tall is a widely held fantasy of superiority that long ago should have been retired.
在我看来，身高被普遍视为一种优越感的幻想，早就该被淘汰了。
这篇文章的论点是：在当今世界，个子矮的人不仅可以节省资源，而且随着地球人口增长和全球变暖，资源变得越来越稀缺，个子矮的人可能最适合长期生存。
retire 在这里是熟词僻义，由“退休”引申为“淘汰”的意思。
from where I stand 意思是 according to what I know or feel “据我所知、在我看来”，可以用来引出自己的观点。
比如现在有个词叫“直升机父母”，指有些父母像直升机一样，随时在孩子上空盘旋，介入孩子的一切。在孩子遇到困难时马上降落，为孩子解围。这种做法不利于培养孩子的独立性。谈到对“直升机父母”的看法，我们可以说：
Therefore, from where I stand, I believe it is essential to strike a balance between protecting and fostering a child's independence, providing them with sufficient space to experience life, learn, and grow.
因此，从我看来，我认为要在保护孩子和培养孩子独立性之间取得平衡，给予他们足够的空间去体验生活、学习和成长。

From my vantage point
2023年4月27日的《时代》周刊中有篇文章，讲到了时代网站将取消付费墙，使读者免费阅读。文中有这么一句话：
From my vantage point, I’m a believer in the power of leaders and businesses coming together to find solutions that allow all to participate in the digital economy.
从我的角度看来，我相信领导者和企业能够团结起来，寻找解决方案，以便让所有人参与到数字经济中来。
vantage point 意思是 a way of thinking about things that comes from your own particular situation or experiences “见解、观点”，相当于 point of view，看个例句：
The whole dispute looked silly from my vantage point.
依我看来，整场争论显得很荒唐。
写作中，我们就可以套用“From my vantage point, I’m a believer in”表达自己的观点。
比如谈到“如何对待挫折”时，我们可以说：
From my vantage point, I'm a believer in the transformative potential of setbacks. Life's challenges, setbacks included, serve as catalysts for personal growth and resilience. They compel individuals to reassess their capabilities, learn from their experiences, and ultimately emerge stronger.
从我的观点来看，我是相信挫折具有改变人生的潜力。生活中的挑战，包括挫折，是个人成长和适应力的催化剂。挫折可以促使人们重新评估自己的能力，从经验中学习，最终变得更加强大。

It is my firm conviction that
BBC中有篇文章报道了巴基斯坦的国庆阅兵式，报道中引用了印度总理莫迪的一条推文：
It is my firm conviction that all outstanding issues can be resolved through bilateral dialogue in an atmosphere free from terror and violence.
我坚信，在没有恐怖和暴力的氛围中展开双边对话，能够解决所有未解决的问题。
conviction 指 a strong opinion or belief “坚定的看法(或信念)”，It is my firm conviction that...可以用在作文中，引出个人观点。
仿写一段话，谈到“女性该不该当家庭主妇”，我们可以说：
It is my firm conviction that the decision of whether women should resign from their careers to become full-time homemakers is a deeply personal one that should be made based on individual circumstances, aspirations, and the support available within the family unit.
我坚定地认为，女性是否应该辞去工作成为全职家庭主妇是一个非常个人的问题，应该根据个人的情况、理想以及家庭的支持来做决定。

In consideration of the myriad factors at play, I staunchly believe that...
in consideration of 是介词短语，表示“考虑到”，相当于 considering。
myriad 表示 an extremely large number of sth，形容数量多，意思上相当于 a lot of，如：
the myriad causes of homelessness
造成无家可归现象的种种原因
at play 是介词短语作后置定语，修饰 factors.
at play 用英语解释是 having an effect，意思是“起到作用的”，比如：
There are a number of factors at play in the current recession.
目前的不景气是由一些因素引发的。
所以 In consideration of the myriad factors at play 可以理解成：考虑到这些因素。
staunch 意思是 strong and loyal in your opinions and attitude “坚定地”，I staunchly believe that 表示“我坚定地认为”。
下面我们使用这个句型，以“生育率下降”为话题，仿写一段话：
In consideration of the myriad factors at play, I staunchly believe that the declining birth rates can be addressed through comprehensive policies that support working parents, provide affordable childcare, and create a conducive environment for raising families while maintaining a balance with career aspirations.
考虑到众多因素的影响，我坚信，解决出生率下降的问题，要推出全面的政策，支持职工父母、提供负担得起的托儿服务，为平衡家庭和工作创造有利的环境。

I am inclined to opine that
2022年12月的 Business Day 网站在报道气象灾害时写了这么一句话：
This notwithstanding, I am inclined to opine that they will also be mindful to note that post-disaster issues are also medium and short term.
尽管如此，我倾向于认为他们也应该注意到灾后问题也具有中短期的特征。
notwithstanding 表示“虽然、尽管”，搭配名词，名词既可以放在 notwithstanding 前面，也可以放在后面，如：
Notwithstanding some major financial problems, the school has had a successful year.
虽然有些重大的经费问题，这所学校一年来还是很成功。
The bad weather notwithstanding, the event was a great success.
尽管天气恶劣，活动还是取得了巨大的成功。
opine 是 opinion 的动词，表示 express an opinion 表达观点，I am inclined to opine that...意思是“我倾向于认为...”，可以套用在作文中，用于表达个人观点。
我们以“消费降级”为话题，仿写一段话：
I am inclined to opine that the phenomenon of "consumption downgrading" is a result of economic weakness, with consumers increasingly prioritizing value and sustainability.
我倾向于认为，“消费降级”的现象是经济疲软的结果，消费者越来越关注价值和可持续性。
