葬礼的车队可以闯红灯吗？

第一次碰到这种情况，惊魂未定。下午去接娃我左拐绿箭头，刚起步时就有辆车从我的车垂直方向开过去，幸好我及时刹住车，吓得不轻。我还以为是个闯红灯的车。准备再次踩油门左拐，紧接着又是一辆车，又一辆车，我心想邪门了今天，这么多车闯红灯，再仔细一看，人家都打着双闪，是葬礼的车队。我理解葬礼的车要保持队形，但是闯红灯也太危险了！左拐的人不会第一时间注意到自己垂直方向的车有没有双闪，即使注意到也不一定会意识到这是葬礼的车队啊。这出了事对于左拐的人来说就是T-bone了。

看很多回答貌似是惯例。小心。也多谢提醒这个情况。 This is legal in some jurisdictions. In general, the lead car in the procession (usually the hearse) must obey all traffic laws including traffic signals and stop signs. Other cars in the procession may then continue the procession unbroken, irrespective of traffic controls. It is as if the entire procession is treated as a single vehicular unit (a tractor with a bunch of trailers; a road train). The places where this is legal also place requirements on the procession such as all vehicles must turn on headlights and hazard flashers. Local police may or may not provide traffic control to escort the procession. Other drivers are obligated to not break the procession; they must wait for the entire procession to pass before proceeding. In other jurisdictions each member of the procession must obey all traffic laws individually. In these places, there is no funeral procession; it's just a bunch of people driving from one place to another. The funeral director should always provide instructions to the mourners how to drive in procession and what laws apply in their jurisdiction, as some mourners may be visiting from areas where laws differ.

一般这种大的葬礼车队，前面都有请警察开道，以防有人从中cut-in。就当警车出勤处理，估计你没看见前面开道的警车。

在纽约如果没有警察伴行是违法交通规则。如果是那么长的队伍都是人大势大的群组，一般人惹不起，警察局里也有人，闯个红灯对于他们不是个事。
In New York, there are no state laws governing funeral processions, however, the state’s vehicle and traffic laws do not provide any exceptions to following traffic control signals, except in the case of emergency vehicles. If a funeral procession is to be granted the ability to disobey traffic signals, there must be a traffic officer present to regulate the flow of traffic.

有警（摩托)车在前开道，到十字路口会停下来指挥让车队先过，

驾照考试里面就有葬礼，校车，消防车的一系列内容。不然你再复习一下

现在纽约太多新移民了，几年之前我们参加一个人的葬礼出funeral home门没多远就到华人区，然后没三个路口整个队就被冲散了。

根本没用， 我们那一群人这些配套服务都买了， 还是出门不远就被整个冲散了，我们到教堂的时候都开始一会了， 后面还有人都快结束了才到， 可能中间迷路了

死者为大嘛。中国也有这个习惯呀。

想起the diary of wimpy kids里他们闯入的车队，后面的车就跟着他们的车走了

你开车有个大问题， 没有理解什么是 defensive diving
换灯的时候，不要一脚油就走，
至于葬礼车队能不能忽略信号灯， 基本上是无关的

楼主没问题 里面明确写了这些车队中间不能断开才被视为一辆车所以可以不断 而车队第一辆是要遵守交规的 第一辆是绿灯时可以走的 后面车队只要跟着即使变红灯也不用停 我也遇到过 中间离很近你是不可能看不出来是一个车队的 楼主这个明显是断开的 要不第一辆车闯红灯

这是亲朋好友送死者去墓园下葬的。婚礼又不需要送。

我见过的都是有警察一前一后带路的

个别州有这规定吧，从没听说过。

这个必须有警车开道的

通常请两个警察一个开路 一个左右穿插 包括在红绿灯路口封路保持队形。也是葬礼时容许按照不同文化作一些事情的。譬如在送殡时撒纸钱开路等。

葬礼的车子一般有警车开道，其他车子要避让。体面一点儿的司机还要下车，脱帽。 你猴急个啥。

这么多年只见过一次。好长的车队， 什么车都有，有豪车也有锈迹斑斑的小车。不知是谁去世了。local news也没看见。也许就是本地家族比较大。确实是一路开下去，不停车。

好奇，我也从来没听说过。特地搜了一下，其实很多州都没有相关的state law. 有规定的州，一般需要police在场。大家可以自己查查看。谢谢楼主提醒

California Vehicle Code Section 2817 says drivers must obey traffic signals or directions given by a peace officer escorting a funeral procession, if the peace officer is in a peace officer’s uniform, and is in the process of escorting a funeral procession.
Section 7 of the California Driver’s Handbook also states one should not “interfere with a funeral procession” and that it has the right-of-way. You can be ticketed if you interfere.
Officer Ricardo Ortiz, spokesman for California Highway Patrol, said that ordinances and fines vary from city to city.
“Legally, [this law] only comes into play when uniformed officers are escorting the procession,” Ortiz said.

不需要是什么厉害的人，我朋友过世时，他教会的大部分人都参加了，五六十辆车，开了半小时队伍没有断开过，全程双闪、无视红灯，没有警车，第一辆是灵车，路上的车辆都礼貌避让。

2) Whenever the funeral escort vehicle or funeral lead vehicle in a funeral procession lawfully enters an intersection, either by reason of a traffic control device or at the direction of law enforcement personnel, the remaining vehicles in the funeral procession may continue to follow the funeral lead vehicle through the intersection despite any traffic control device, general law or ordinance to the contrary relative to right-of-way, if the operator of each vehicle exercises reasonable care toward other vehicles and any pedestrians on the roadway.

有白纸黑字的法律的。每个州都有相关的法律。但是条款有些出入。驾照笔试考试时就要学习啊 行人可以不知道 但是司机是有义务知道的。

我也是20年+无事故驾龄，考驾照满分，没遇到过也没听说过葬礼车队可以闯红灯。那么多人上来劈头盖脸一顿指责，真是不理解，能显得你多牛吗？

加州DMV的handbook是有这个规定的

我一直不知道有规定 不能插进队伍。 不过 真是从来 都是停着在那灯着， 不会插进队伍的。 也从来没见到有车插队

那倒没有。亲人突然去世，我坐在车里送葬，迷茫，悲痛难以表达。看到对面来车避让，停车下车，有些上年纪的还脱帽，就觉得好受了些。就觉得生命在结尾的时候得到了尊重，看他们静默注视着谁都不能避免的结局，就觉得这不是你一个人的事，有人care, 就觉得悲伤被分担了，死亡也不是那么可怕了。所以以后如果我遇到出殡的队伍，我会做到力所能及的体面，致敬生命，给坐在车里送亲人离去的人一点儿不足道的慰藉。 所以这种时刻，我不会这么着急右转，等待的一分钟，也许收获的更多。

是这样的，警察会在行走路线路口都设防，在乡间小路，要路过的车子就是要等着车队过去才能走的。
