Do you want to learn more about the history of the United States? Join a prominent American historian at the Beijing American Center for a series of informative and engaging talks. 

Session 10: Cowboys and Capitalism: America's Westward Expansion and the Gilded Age 

Friday, Apr 21, 2023, 3:00-4:30p.m. 

Join us for a lecture and open discussion led by a professional historian on America's Westward Expansion and the Gilded Age, a transformative period between 1865 and 1900. We will explore how and why the United States expanded to the Pacific Ocean and beyond and how that expansion affected the Native Americans already living in those regions. Our conversation will also cover what Westward Expansion meant for the economic development of the United States. Join us at the Beijing American Center for a lively and candid discussion of cowboys and capitalism this Friday. 

This event will be conducted in English.

For security reasons, the BAC staff reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone.
