美国司法体系概述
Wednesday, May 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Are you interested in learning more about the U.S. legal system? Join us at the Beijing American Center for a discussion with the U.S. Department of Justice Resident Legal Advisor Patrick Suter. Patrick is a prosecutor with the Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice and will describe for you what U.S. law enforcement agents and prosecutors do, and how their work fits into the U.S. criminal justice system. From starting an investigation, to arresting the suspect, all the way through trial - Patrick’s discussion will give you an insider’s look at how the U.S. legal system approaches crime, criminals, and works to preserve notions of justice, fundamental fairness, and the rights of both the accused and victims of crime.
This program will be conducted in English.
