Art exhibition tour by American artist Augustina Droze “Species in Balance”. 

Please join us at the Beijing American Center to meet Augustina Droze, an American artist whose work uses animals and insects as subject matterto raise awareness of biodiversity, invasive species and other ecological issues. Droze understands the fragility of our environment and promotes its protection through her art.   

During the presentation she will highlight the three main facets of her career: her public art diplomacy, her studio practice, and how her lived experience as mother and educator have impacted her work and scholarly pursuits.   

Bio: Augustina Droze is an American artist living and working in Beijing since 2015. Her artwork ranges from expansive public murals and sculptures to smaller oil paintings. Over her 22 years as a practicing public and studio artist, she has used  her private and community work as a tool for diplomacy, advocacy and dialogue. Droze's work includes large-scale public murals and installations which have been created in partnership with international art and government agencies. 

This event will be conducted in English.

欢迎来北京美国中心与美国艺术家 Augustina Droze 会面，她的作品以动物和昆虫为主题，以提高人们对生物多样性、入侵物种和其他生态问题的认识。Droze 了解我们环境的脆弱性，并通过她的艺术促进对环境的保护。 

在演讲中，她将重点介绍她职业生涯的三个主要方面：她的公共艺术外交、她的工作室实践，以及她作为母亲和教育家的生活经历如何影响她的工作和学术追求。 

简介：Augustina Droze 是一位美国艺术家，自 2015 年起在北京生活和工作。她的艺术作品从大型公共壁画和雕塑到小型油画不等。在她作为公共和工作室艺术家的 22 年中，她将她的私人和社区工作作为外交、宣传和对话的工具。Droze 的作品包括与国际艺术和政府机构合作创作的大型公共壁画和装置。 

此活动将用英文进行。

交通：地铁10号，亮马桥站B出口，向东北步行至天泽路和安家楼路交汇处， 签证处北侧。  
Directions: Metro Line 10, Liangmaqiao Station Exit B, walk northeast to the Tian Ze Road intersection of An Jia Lou Road, north side of the Visas Office.
