你喜欢漫画书吗？漫画故事最吸引你的是什么？你最喜欢的至今难忘的漫画角色是谁？上海美国中心邀请你11月30日周四晚参加一场不仅有趣并且有意义的漫画书创意与分享会。你将在现场看到中国漫画女性超级英雄《惠兴》的漫画书，以及其他一些由中国和美国艺术家创作的漫画作品。我们也会连线我们的嘉宾 Ram Devineni 和他来自哥伦比亚的朋友 Connie Molina，Fabian Ceruleo，和Natalia Ponce de Leon 与我们一起在线谈论他们的漫画书《Kaia》，以及如何创作漫画来反映现实问题。此次活动的协办者为翔凤，翔凤的漫画家Tomato也会参与本次活动。
Do you love comic books? What most attracts you to a comic’s story? Do you have a favorite comic character that you’ll never forget?  The Shanghai American Center invites you to a fun and meaningful comic book creation and sharing presentation on Thursday, November 30. You’ll have the chance to see the comic book “Princess Su” – a Chinese female comic superhero, and other comic creations by Chinese and U.S. artists. Our guest speaker Ram Devineni and his friends Connie Molina, Fabian Ceruleo, and Natalia Ponce de Leon from Colombia will join us online to discuss their comic book, “Kaia,” and present how to create comics that address social issues. The event is co-sponsored by the Baturu International Cultural Festival with Baturu Cartoonist Tomato also joining the event.

Ram Devineni 是一位美国漫画家，他是印度第一位女性漫画超级英雄 Priya 的创作者。他被联合国妇女署评为性别平等卫士，并在哥伦比亚和中国制作了多部女性超级英雄漫画书。同时他也是一名成功的纪录片制片人。
Ram Devineni is the American creator of India’s first female comic book superhero, Priya.  He was named a gender-equality champion by UN Women and has produced several comic books with female superheroes in Colombia and China.  Additionally he is also an accomplished documentary filmmaker.

Natalia Ponce de Leon是一名惨遭酸液袭击的幸存者。她将这一悲剧转化为一场运动，以此解决基于性别的暴力问题，改变人们对哥伦比亚妇女的看法。基于她的努力，她被美国国务院授予 "国际妇女勇气奖"。在美国驻波哥大的使馆的支持下，Natalia与哥伦比亚艺术家Connie Molina和Fabian Ceruleo合作，在漫画书《Kaia》中创造了自己的化身。
Natalia Ponce de Leon is a comic book creator who turned her personal tragedy into a national movement to tackle gender-based violence and change the perception of women in Colombia.  For her efforts, she was awarded the International Women of Courage Award by the U.S. Department of State. Working with Colombian artists Connie Molina and Fabian Ceruleo — they created the mystical character Natalia in their comic book, “Kaia,” supported by the U.S. Embassy in Bogota.

The event will be conducted in both English and Chinese. 

观众仅限于14岁及以上。 
Audience restricted to 14 years and over. 

报名须知 

目前我们不要求参加活动的观众佩戴口罩，但如果戴口罩让您更安心，我们鼓励您这么做。参加活动请提前报名。活动会准时开始，是否有余位视现场观众到场情况而定。如果您到达时房间已满，您可能将不被允许进入，即使您已经报名。目前，我们只能保证到达的前80名观众入场。
Masks are not currently required to attend Shanghai American Center events, but audience members are encouraged to feel comfortable wearing them if they wish. Please be sure to RSVP if you intend to come.  Programs begin on time and seats are subject to space availability. If the room is full when you arrive, you might not be granted entry, even if you RSVP'd. We can only seat the first 80 guests at this time. 

我们至少会在活动开始前15分钟启动安检流程以及入场。请您携带有效并带有照片的身份证件原件进入上海美国中心，证件复印件或照片将不被接受。
Doors will open and security screening will commence 15 minutes before the program starts. You must bring a valid physical photo ID in order to enter the Shanghai American Center (ShAC). Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted.  

安检过程中，我们会对所有即将进入上海美国中心的物品进行扫描。请勿携带笔记本电脑进入上海美国中心，手机、iPad及其他平板设备、智能手表等允许携带。
All belongings carried into the ShAC will be scanned during security screening. While guests may not bring laptop computers to Shanghai American Center programs, portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are permitted.

Press inquiries should be directed to the U.S. Consulate Shanghai Press Office. Additionally, audio or video recording of the program will not be permitted. 

活动参与者永久性授权上海美国中心和美国国务院在包括互联网在内的任何合法的政府和非政府出版物中发布、展示、编辑、更改、复制或分发其肖像，并无需支付酬劳或者申请批准。
All program participants grant the Shanghai American Center and the U.S. Department of State permission to publish, exhibit, edit, alter, copy, or distribute their likeness in a photograph in any and all publications for Government or non-government purposes, including website entries and any lawful purpose, without payment, approval, or any other consideration in perpetuity.
