Are you interested in learning more about the U.S. legal system? Join us at the Guangzhou American Center for a discussion with the U.S. Department of Justice Resident Legal Advisor Patrick Suter. Patrick is a prosecutor with the Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice and will describe what U.S. law enforcement agents and prosecutors do, and how their work fits into the U.S. criminal justice system. From starting an investigation, to arresting the suspect, all the way through trial - Patrick’s discussion will give you an insider’s look at how the U.S. legal system approaches crime, criminals, and works to preserve notions of justice, fundamental fairness, and the rights of both the accused and victims of crime.

This event will be conducted in English.  The Guangzhou American Center will only seat 58 visitors for this event.  The event is first come, first served, and will close when the event is full.  Reservation does not guarantee entry.  Thank you for your understanding.

If you have any symptoms of physical discomfort, please do not attend.  We will take all possible measures to maintain a safe environment for public events.  Our facilities have state-of-the-art air filtration systems specifically designed to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses in the building.  Strict sanitary measures will be taken at the venue, and hand sanitizer and face masks will be provided. The number of attendees at each event will be limited per current public health guidelines.
