这首歌以一个女人对她父亲抛弃家庭的??回忆开始； 通过副歌，唱到她与孩子找到一个爱家的男人（父亲），她将他描述为“一点一点地”恢复了她的“男人可以善良，父亲可以留下来的信念”。
以前听过不少电视现场(歌手)选秀的比赛，最早是美国的，Kelly Clarkson算是最早的冠军之一，然后中国的湖南电视台也模仿这些现场秀，还出了李宇春、张靓颖、周笔畅等优秀选手。这些年过去了，最让我感动的是Kelly C， 尤其是前几年美国达人秀American Idols的终场，他携带自己的歌《一点一滴 Piece by Piece》、同时带着怀孕了七个月的身体站在台上为美国观众演唱。那种场面，实在太感人了，全体在座的，都站着听她的歌，包括我站在电视机前。她唱的是两个父亲、两个很不一样的男人。还好这地球上，绝大部分的父亲是好的父亲，祝你节日愉快，谢谢！
