As of April 18th, this is the list of all EVs that will no longer be eligible for the federal $7,500 US EV tax credit under the new rules: • Rivian R1S • Rivian R1T • Audi Q5 TFSI e Quattro Plug-in Hybrid • BMW 330e Plug-in Hybrid • BMW X5 Drive45e Plug-in Hybrid • Genesis GV70 • Nissan Leaf • VW ID4 (multiple variants) • Volvo S60
Only 8 BEVs (battery electric vehicles) will qualify for the full $7,500 tax credit: • Tesla Model 3 Performance • Tesla Model Y AWD • Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD • Tesla Model Y Performance • Ford F-150 Lightning (Standard and Extended Range Battery) • Chevrolet Bolt & Bolt EUV • Cadillac Lyriq • Chevrolet Silverado (not yet launched) • Chevrolet Blazer (not yet launched) • Chevrolet Equinox (not yet launched) Random fact: Tesla sold 4.7x more Model Y units in the US in 2022 than the rest of the non-Tesla EVs on that list combined.
Here are the EVs that will only qualify for a partial $3,750 amount: • Tesla Model 3 RWD • Jeep Wrangler Plug-in Hybrid 4xe • Grand Cherokee Plug-in Hybrid 4xe • Ford E-Transit • Ford Mustang Mach-E Standard & Extended Range Battery • Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid • Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring
