i think it should be 'honorific'. like in star wars 'master' is an honorific.
or maybe it is called a title. like 'the grey' in LotR gandalf the grey, or
'the magnificent' in 'Lorenzo De' Medici the Magnificent'... so we can say
伏羲 the 太昊? does that sound weird? :P
