feel unhappy But won't tell anybody. Like this public ID then I can hide
myself.
I am going to graduate and I've already got an oral offer. But I just find out
that they won't sponsor HIB. Actually they even don't know what the H1b is. I
haven't talked with my supervisor about this yet. I called the HR to inquiry
this related information as a potential job applicant. The lady on the phone
never heard of H1B. Don't what to do. Sure I will still conceal this until the
day I need to show my SSN car

in any rate let the bad mode wait and try to do your best to get an offer.
knock on doors. consider your options. you can always go back to school if
you want a temporary place to stay. don't just sit and wait.
or you can just kick it and go home. it's not so bad.

I am afraid that if I tell you my major then some of the guys on this bbs will
recoganize me since there are so few people are in the same major as mine. So
please excuse me of not telling you my major. But I can tell you a very
interesting thing. In our profession, there is a Chinese assoiciation. I am
the member of it. It is a very tough task for me to attend the chapter events
since most of the members are above 45 years and most of them are from Taiwan.
This is a low income profession but no

i was in a rather bad situation before, except i was already married then, so
i didn't have to worry about visa expiring. we didn't have much to finance my
study(if i get admitted) and keeping ends meet. it was very stressful, we
did't know what would happen eventually. then i dreamt about a voice saying:
knock on doors. so i knocked on doors around the campus, the library and so
on, asking if they want a student worker. lucky for me a research center gave
me a student job that paid 11$ an hour

i agree with what lynny said. dont isolate yourself. try to be proactive and
positive.
about life fair or not. then you really shall not turn inward becoz that let
you be less unware of others' feelings or experience. ppl all experience
problems, no matter how lucky or established they are. consider the
advantages you have when you feel low - family, friends, health whatever you
possess yet you are unconscious of.
my parents have being going through all kinds of illness in turns recently a

Actually I did what you said "knock on doors" at the first semester. I really
knocked every door in different buidlings and asked whether they had any
position open. But our school is very weird they seldom offer hourly job for
graduate students and most of the hourly job's funds are from work-study or
federal, state which I am not qualified to get as an international student.
Finally, I got a hourly job at a physic lab as a technician and my job was to
shut the door, turn off the light for the

Good luck MM!
Try hard to find another job! I know many people have trouble in finding
jobs now. Even the niuest guy in my area hasn't got one job offer yet.
Another Chinese guy stayed at school as a lecturer after ph.d graduation,
I guessed it was because he didn't have good offers, but now soon he is
going to a good university for one faculty position.

well, this makes me very embarrassed if you really figured out who i am since
that is really not what i want and meant to.
But maybe u r wrong since in this word there are so many people who have the
similar experience.
And in the world, actually, in the end, you have to face all the things
alone.And it is not bad at all, you will grow up and can feel proud of
yourself.

实在想不出来什么专业，不好意思，在你心情不好的时候，还钻牛角尖想你什么专业，
也就搏你一笑了。反正你肯定不是学工或理的。
我想不出来人很专业符合这个句话
“me that"你这样的家世，怎麽学这个专业” ”
学音乐的，有可能，不过教乐器还是能够赚点钱，我经常看到我们学校音乐系找人的广告
最高的看到的是钢琴每小时70美元，学美术的，不太了解，但是以前看王安忆的小说我爱
比尔，虽然我感觉学艺术成名很难。
应该混口饭吃不太难把
其他什么学医MBA之类的是很困难，可是回报也很高
不好意思孤陋寡闻了

sorry to hear about your parants. it's good that you have brother and in-law
to take care of them. there was one time both my parants were in the hospital
while i was here... and they didn't tell me until much later. health is almost

"Misery likes company", I learned this saying from a supervisor of mine. :)
That was from my first job in the US, and for a small company in a mid-size
city before the IT boom and wave of foreign workers, it's not too surprising
that the HR manager never heard of H1b visa. I took the job nontheless, and
started working using my OPT. After a few months of hard working and
performance, I asked for the H1b sponsorship and got approved with no problem.
