两全其美；享受两者的优点

give sb the best of both worlds

让……两全其美；

给某人占尽了两头的好处/享受两头的优点

【解释】

If you have the best of both worlds, 

you are in a situation where you have all the advantages of two different things without any of the problems or disadvantages.

【例句】

Her living room provides the best of both worlds with an office at one end 

and comfortable sofas at the other.

她的起居室两全其美，一端是个办公室，

另一端有舒服的沙发。

We have the best of both worlds here — it’s a peaceful village, 

but we’re only twenty minutes from the town center.

我们住这儿真实两全其美 — 这是一个宁静的村庄，

我们可以使用：

can’t have it both ways 

鱼和熊掌，不能兼得

【解释】

If someone says that you can't have it both ways, 

they are telling you that you have to choose，

between two things and cannot do or have them both.

but you can't eat it every day  and lose weight ，

you just can't have it both ways.
