紫檀终极大学排名（第二稿）

昨天对初稿的回馈中最大的意见是两个。第一个是对公校不公平，所以今天把没有标准化过的排名也登出来，虽然这个从统计学来讲不恨规范，但是会令很多人呢满意是必然的。第二个就是以whaled网友为主的关于用arbitrarily assigned numbers作为排名指数不合理的问题。因此今天第二稿全用原始数据。

第一个表是把每个学校进入5类职业（职校）的总数除以在校本科生的总数，再按所得数据（最后一列）排名。

第二个表只按每个学校进入的总数直接排名。

光是看cs这列M也说不过去，大厂很多工作太一般了

M怎么可能读医人数近似于cs人数？你去数数Putnam 就知道这是不可能的

当然可能。MITCS选择读博士的想来应该最高。谁有这方面的数据我可以加上。

没看懂，H每年进法学院有3600人？

MIT除了硬核理工，商学院也很强呀

M 很少去med school。应该找学校原始数据，不能拿别人的二手数据来再处理

Law number way overweighted. Each category need to be weight

By the labor pool size of that category/career.

top 100 law form only have only 100000 attorney, top tech have probably 500K -1 million employees, but law slot number in the table is much bigger than tech!

also medical school and law school does not equal top career track.

不是每年，是所有上过top 25 medical schools的有LinkedIn的。

你如果能找到数据(至少30个学校)我就加进去。

数据有误差了几十倍。89年Emory招生广告说，毕业生进入医学院和法学院的比例是 50%多，每年全国不是第一就是第二

反对反对，法学院医学院是小众，不是所有学校都有。应该按都有的专业排名 LOL，

这些律师人均revenue不如大厂马公多

还是有意义的，这里选的是top 14 法学院，毕业八年平均50万是有的，绝对够俗

再把startup的数据也加进去就更好了

前一百家律所大多雇的top law school，大厂找san jose state 不少

难道USC BC NEU CMU没有人进医学院？显然不对

这些顶级律师平均创收大概只有大厂马公的一半，真不如San Jose 在大厂的马公

前100law firm 人均revenue大概60万，大厂（秘书也算上）都在1百万到两百万

你来找数据，我来加。最好是拿到venture capitals的startups。这里的数据都是进入各行业翘楚的。

这是个bug，应该是几个学校没进前25排名导致

No, one of the key aspects is that more options are better.

律所那有大厂的scaleup，创收肯定不如，服务行业。比个人收入吧，八年top 法学院毕业生50万，够俗了

没有进入feeders的前30名的学校就没有数据。

sloan本来就是最牛的商学院之一。

Then you'd be penalizing...

(1) Big schools with comprehensive offerings: what do their art/architecture/film majors have to do with the chosen career paths?

and

(2) Small schools with niche offerings: Caltech students have little to do with Law school or MBB, for example.
