漫画类作文怎么写？（上）
漫画类作文终于来啦！
先跟大家说声抱歉，这篇文章的底稿很久之前就写好了，但因为身体不舒服，一直拖到了现在，希望没有耽误大家的时间。
接下来我们分段讲一讲漫画类作文该怎么写，今天先讲第一段：
第一段描述漫画内容，控制在2-3句话，主要有三种方式来开头：

In the picture, +主句
这一种最简单、最基本，我们以2013年考研英语一的漫画类作文为例：
我们看黄皮书给的范文（第一段）：
①In the picture, a flock of graduates are stopped by a four-direction fork. ②The directions symbolize four life choices after graduation, namely seeking employment, taking the postgraduate entrance exam, going abroad for further study and starting a business.
这段范文很一般，只把图片信息描述出来了，语言寡淡，缺乏亮点。我们给它润色一下：
1. picture 前可以加一个形容词修饰，比如 thought-provoking (引人深思的)、revealing (发人深省的)。
2. In the picture 后面还可以加一个定语从句，进行适当的扩充，比如：which seems distant but will definitely happen in everyone's life.
3. fork 本义“叉子”，引申为“岔路”，但很少见到 a four-direction fork 的说法，更常见的是 a four way fork。
4. ①②两句有“同类项”（四岔路），所以我们可以把两句话合并为一句，用which连接起来。（15期外刊课讲过复杂句的写作技巧）
润色后的范文：
In the thought-provoking picture, which seems distant but will definitely happen in everyone's life, a flock of graduates are stopped by a four way fork, which symbolizes four different life choices after graduation: seeking employment, taking the postgraduate entrance exam, going abroad for further study and starting a business.
美中不足的是，一句话中出现了两个which引导的定语从句，导致句子结构略显单调，我们把第二个 which 定语从句改成 V-ing 状语的结构：
In the thought-provoking picture, which seems distant but will definitely happen in everyone's life, a flock of graduates are stopped by a four way fork, symbolizing four different life choices after graduation: seeking employment, taking the postgraduate entrance exam, going abroad for further study and starting a business.
大功告成！

The picture shows...
我们以2016年漫画类作文为例：
两幅图，一幅图中爸爸叮嘱孩子好好学习，自己却在看电视，而另一幅图中爸爸没有口头教育，而是带孩子一起学习。
遇到两幅漫画的情况，一定要抓住它们之间的不同。
我们看黄皮书给的第一段范文：
①The above pictures reveal two fathers' distintly different parenting methods. ②In one picture, the father is urging his son to study hard while relaxing himself, with his eyes fixed on the TV. In the other picture, both the father and his son concentrate on their study.
点评润色一下：
1. above 这个套路很常见了，换成刚才说的 thought-provoking、revealing.
2. 在外刊中，一般写完The picture shows / reveals sb，sb后面还会接一个 who 引导的定语从句，补充这个人做了什么，这样可以增加句子的信息量。
3. with his eyes fixed on the TV 不需要加定冠词 the，直接说 with his eyes fixed on TV 就好，或者说 with his eyes fixed on the TV screen.
4. 这两幅图明显是进行对比，所以我们最好加一个 by contrast，使逻辑更清晰。
5. concentrate on their study 描写的有些平淡，可以换成 sit hunched over one's desk，伏案工作，画面感一下子就出来了。其中 hunch 表示“躬身、弓背”。
修改如下：
The thought-provoking pictures reveal distintly different parenting methods of two fathers, one of whom is urging his son to study hard while relaxing himself, with his eyes fixed on TV, and the other of whom, by contrast, sits hunched over his desk along with his son.
另外，此句中 show / reveal 也可以用 feature 替换，feature 作动词时表示 to include a particular person or thing as a special feature “以...为特色、主要有、主要描述了/讲述了”，用法为：视频/文章/漫画+features sth，表示“视频/文章/漫画主要描述了...”，以2021年考研英语一为例：
图中，以为身着孙悟空戏服的男孩告诉父亲，很多同学觉得学唱中国传统戏曲不好玩。他的父亲带着鼓励的口吻回应道：“你自己不是喜欢吗？那就足够了。”
提供几个版本：
1）The picture features a boy in a Monkey King costume, who tells his father that many of his classmates find it boring to learn traditional Chinese opera. His father replies encouragingly: "Aren't you yourself fond of it? That's all that matters."
The picture features a boy in a Monkey King costume 是句子主干，后面接定语从句 who tells his father that...进行补充。
2）The picture features a boy in a Monkey King costume, telling his father that many of his classmates find it boring to learn traditional Chinese opera, which is met by his father's words — it's most important that you like it.
这个版本把定语从句 who tells his father that...改成了分词形式的后置定语 telling his father that...，并把第二句写成定语从句的形式跟在第一句后面。
be met by/with 是个非常地道的搭配，英文解释为 to get a particular reaction or result 得到某种回应或结果，可翻译为“遭受、获得”，非常贴合语境。这个短语可攻可受，可以用被动（A is met with B）也可以用主动（A meet with B），看个例句：
His comments have met with widespread opposition.
他的评论遭到普遍反对。

As is shown in the picture...
这是三个句型中最高级的，也是外刊中最常用的，《纽约时报》在描述美国劳动力市场时就用到了这个句型：
其中 picture 可以用 drawings, image, cartoon 替换，show 可以用 illustrate, depict 等替换，从而使句型变得更加丰富。
我们以2019年考研英语一为例：
黄皮书给的范文是这么写的：
In the picture, there are two climbers on their way to the top of the mountain. One of them, sitting on a stone step with his backpack aside, says in slight frustration:"I'm too tired to go any further." His travel companion hands him a bottle of drink and replies encouragingly:" Come on! Take a break and keep climbing."
我们修改一下：
As is shown in the revealing cartoon, there are two climbers on their way to the top of the mountain, with one of them sitting on a stone step with his backpack aside, saying in slight frustration:"I'm too tired to go any further." And the other hands him a bottle of drink and replies encouragingly:" Come on! Take a break and keep climbing."
把 In the picture 改成 As is shown in the cartoon，并在 cartoon 前加上形容词 revealing 进行修饰，更加亮眼。
把句子 One of them says... 改成 with结构，放在第一句后面：with one of them saying in slight frustration，增加句子的信息量。
