上海美国中心将于11月1日，周二晚上6:30放映挪威剧情片《花滑女王》。影片为英语对白，中文字幕。

On Tuesday, November 1, at 6:30 PM, as part of our international film festival on women’s empowerment, the Shanghai American Center will screen the Norwegian feature film “Sonja – The White Swan”. The film is in English with Chinese subtitles.

《花滑女王》讲述被誉为“白天鹅”的Sonja Henie - 现代花样滑冰技术的发明者，也是挪威乃至世界上最伟大的运动员之一，她的人生故事。1936年，Sonja决定前往好莱坞发展，成为电影明星。1937年，她的第一部电影打破了票房纪录，成了当年最叫座的影片。Sonja迅速成为当时最富有的女性之一，身边总是环绕着粉丝、爱人和家人，从来不会孤单落寞。随着年龄的增长，聚光灯逐渐消失，但Sonja依然拒绝退出荧幕和舞台。然而，当她摔倒在里约热内卢泥泞的冰面上时，此前的荣誉都烟消云散了。

The film is about one of the world's greatest athletes and the inventor of modern figure skating - Sonja Henie, who decides to go to the Hollywood in 1936 to become a movie star. And she does, but everything has a price. In 1937, her first film broke box office records and became the biggest hit of the year. Sonja quickly became one of the richest women at the time, always surrounded by fans, lovers and family, never alone. The spotlight fades as she ages, but Sonja still refuses to step back from the big screen. However, when she fell on the muddy ice of Rio de Janeiro, all the glamours and honors vanished.

挪威驻上海总领事馆副总领事郝曦女士将在放映前致词并在放映后为观众们探讨挪威的冰雪运动和冬季文化。

Norwegian Deputy Consul General Solfrid Dahl Helgesen will deliver opening remarks before the screening and discuss Norwegian winter sports and culture after the screening. 

报名须知

由于疫情期间，所有到场观众都必须佩戴口罩，保持“社交距离”，在进入上海美国中心前，所有观众都将进行体温测试，并需要出示您的健康码。参加活动请务必提前报名。活动会准时开始，是否有余位视现场观众到场情况而定。如果您到达时房间已满，你可能将不被允许进入，即使您已经报名。目前，我们只能保证到达的前60名观众入场。

During this time, the audience must wear masks, maintain social distancing requirements, take temperature test and show a Shanghai health code before entering the Shanghai American Center. Please be sure to RSVP if you intend to come.  Programs begin on time and seats are subject to space availability. If the room is full when you arrive, you might not be granted entry, even if you RSVP'd. We can only seat the first 60 guests at this time.

我们至少会在活动开始前15分钟启动安检流程以及入场。请您携带有效并带有照片的身份证件原件进入上海美国中心，证件复印件或照片将不被接受。

Doors will open and security screening will commence 15 minutes before the program starts. You must bring a valid physical photo ID in order to enter the Shanghai American Center (ShAC). Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted. 

安检过程中，我们会对所有即将进入上海美国中心的物品进行扫描。请勿携带笔记本电脑进入上海美国中心，手机、iPad及其他平板设备、智能手表等允许携带。

All belongings carried into the ShAC will be scanned during security screening. While guests may not bring laptop computers to Shanghai American Center programs, portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are permitted.

Press inquiries should be directed to the U.S. Consulate Shanghai Press Office. Additionally, audio or video recording of the program will not be permitted.

All program participants grant the Shanghai American Center and the U.S. Department of State permission to publish, exhibit, edit, alter, copy, or distribute their likeness in a photograph in any and all publications for Government or non-government purposes, including website entries and any lawful purpose, without payment, approval, or any other consideration in perpetuity.
