Please join the Beijing American Center’s virtual event to meet Augustina Droze, an American artist whose work uses animals and insects as subject matter, introducing biodiversity, invasive species and other ecological issues. Droze understands the fragility of our environment and promotes its protection through her art.   

During the presentation she will share the three main facets of her career: her public art diplomacy, her studio practice, and how her lived experience as mother and educator have impacted her work and scholarly pursuits. 

Bio: Augustina Droze is an American artist living and working in Beijing since 2015. Her artwork spans from large scale public murals and sculptures to smaller scale oil paintings. Over her 22 years as a practicing public and studio artist, she uses her private and community work as a tool for diplomacy, advocacy and dialogue. Droze's work includes large-scale public murals and installations which have been created in partnership with international art and government agencies. 

This event will be conducted in English.
