历时七个月摄制，由苏州广播电视总台制作的纪录片-《来处，也是归途》于2022年12月27日起在苏州文化生活频道《纪录片时间》栏目连续播出。7月21日周五，上海美国中心很荣幸邀请到该纪录片的导演周瑶以及纪录片主人公，来自西交利物浦大学的施爱伦（Ellen Touchstone）院长讲述她与苏州的奇妙缘分。
The documentary "My Homeward Journey", produced by Suzhou Radio and Television Station, has been broadcast continuously on the Documentary Time Column of Suzhou Cultural Life Channel since December 27, 2022. On Friday, July 21, the Shanghai American Center is honored to invite the Director of this documentary, Ms. Zhou Yao and Dr. Ellen Touchstone from the International Business School Suzhou @ XJTLU to share the wonderful story of Dr. Touchstone wonderful relationship with Suzhou.  

施爱伦家族与中国的百年故事，是许许许多多外国家庭与中国的故事之一。她触碰了被历史拨动的家族情感，对她来说，来处，也是归途。
The story of Ellen's family is one of many stories of foreign families in China. She has been moved by her family’s history in China. For her, where she came from is also her way home. 

时间回到一百年前。1917年，两个美国青年分别来到中国，并在苏州相识相爱，结婚成家，度过了五年时光，他们是施爱伦的祖父母。这些家族记忆碎片深深吸引着施爱伦。
Looking back a hundred years ago, two American youths came to China in 1917. They fell in love in Suzhou, then got married and lived here for 5 years. They were Ellen's grandparents. Those family memory fragments are fascinating to Ellen. 

祖父母的故事，帮助施爱伦消除了最初的陌生感，拉近了她与今日中国的距离。在多元文化中，施爱伦保留了源自祖父母的中国印记，也践行着源自家族的交流合作与志愿服务精神，更见证并参与了当代中国的非凡十年。
The story of her grandparents helped Ellen eliminate her initial strangeness to China and bring her closer to China today. In multi-culture, Ellen has kept the Chinese mark inherited from her grandparents, and acted in the spirit of communication, cooperation and voluntary service derived from her family. Furthermore, she has been a witness and participant in the extraordinary decade of contemporary China.

施爱伦（Ellen E Touchstone）博士，西交利物浦大学西浦国际商学院首任社会责任与可持续商业教育副院长。她于美国亚利桑那周立大学雷鸟全球管理学院获得工商管理硕士学位（国际商务方向），并于南加州大学获得应用语言学博士学位。她是普惠银行业的思想领袖，她关于语言服务和多语言广告的研究分别发表在《商业研究》和《消费者研究》等期刊上。
Dr. Ellen E Touchstone is the inaugural Associate Dean for Responsible and Sustainable Business Education at the International Business School Suzhou @ XJTLU.  She received her MBA in International Business from ASU Thunderbird School of Global Management and her PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Southern California. She is a thought leader on inclusive banking with her research on the linguistic services cape and multilingual advertising published in the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Consumer Research respectively. 

周瑶，纪录片《来处，也是归途》导演，主任编辑，苏州广播电视总台编导，江苏省广播电视和网络视听行业青年创新人才，姑苏宣传文化青年拔尖人才。主创纪录片作品获第27届中国新闻奖、第32届中国新闻奖、江苏省第10届“五个一工程”奖、江苏省第12届“五个一工程”奖、第26届中国纪录片学术盛典“十佳作品”等，并多次被国家广电总局推选为优秀国产纪录片。
Zhou Yao, director of documentary of “My Homeward Journey”, chief editor and the director of SuZhou Radio and Television General Station. Her documentaries have won the 27th China News Award, the 32nd China News Award, the 10th Jiangsu Province "Five One Project" Award, the 12th Jiangsu Province "Five One Project" Award, and the "Top Ten Works" of the 26th China Documentary Academic Festival. They have been repeatedly selected as excellent domestic documentaries by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.

活动以英文和中文进行。
The event will be conducted in English and Chinese. 

报名须知

目前我们不要求参加活动的观众佩戴口罩，但如果戴口罩让您更安心，我们鼓励您这么做。参加活动请提前报名。活动会准时开始，是否有余位视现场观众到场情况而定。如果您到达时房间已满，您可能将不被允许进入，即使您已经报名。目前，我们只能保证到达的前80名观众入场。
Masks are not currently required to attend Shanghai American Center events, but audience members are encouraged to feel comfortable wearing them if they wish. Please be sure to RSVP if you intend to come.  Programs begin on time and seats are subject to space availability. If the room is full when you arrive, you might not be granted entry, even if you RSVP'd. We can only seat the first 80 guests at this time.

我们至少会在活动开始前15分钟启动安检流程以及入场。请您携带有效并带有照片的身份证件原件进入上海美国中心，证件复印件或照片将不被接受。
Doors will open and security screening will commence 15 minutes before the program starts. You must bring a valid physical photo ID in order to enter the Shanghai American Center (ShAC). Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted. 

安检过程中，我们会对所有即将进入上海美国中心的物品进行扫描。请勿携带笔记本电脑进入上海美国中心，手机、iPad及其他平板设备、智能手表等允许携带。
All belongings carried into the ShAC will be scanned during security screening. While guests may not bring laptop computers to Shanghai American Center programs, portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are permitted.

媒体采访须直接与美国驻上海总领事馆新闻处联系。此外，禁止对活动进行录音或录影。
Press inquiries should be directed to the U.S. Consulate Shanghai Press Office. Additionally, audio or video recording of the program will not be permitted.

活动参与者永久性授权上海美国中心和美国国务院在包括互联网在内的任何合法的政府和非政府出版物中发布、展示、编辑、更改、复制或分发其肖像，并无需支付酬劳或者申请批准。
